Thanks for looking at our 2006 BMW F650GS. We are selling it because money is tight right now and the mortgage needs to be paid. This bike rocks and it is hard to part with it. We own it outright but we are still waiting for the title to come from the DMV. The bank has assured me that they will sign a duplicate title application if it sells before the pink shows up. The bike has tipped over twice but has never been crashed at speed. The only damage has been to the luggage. There is a crack on the bottom of the top bag and the aluminum cladding on the saddle bags is dinged up and scratched. The luggage works perfectly. Besides minor scuffing to the finish, there is no damage at all to the motorcycle itself. We have always kept this bike in the garage. The first services were performed at Cycle Specialties in Modesto. Since then, the oil changes have been done at home. Except for a weak battery about a year ago, this bike has been trouble free. We installed a "gel cell" from the dealer and it has worked perfectly. The only off road this bike has seen was a vacant lot in my neighborhood. This BMW is equipped with anti-lock brakes that can be disabled for off road use. It also has heated hand grips that make it a true year round motorcycle in California. The luggage was bought at the time of original purchase and keyed to the bike's ignition key (no need to fumble with seperate keys). The only upgrade that we did is to install a flashing LED tail/brake light. This light is much more reliable and visible than the stocker. Everything else is original. Although we did not keep mileage records, the times that we checked, it got 60+ MPG. This BMW has a Rotax built single cylinder engine with two spark plugs that accelerates well and cruises on the freeway quite easily. It was designed to reliably use the cheapest gas around the world. Sadly we have been burned before by bidders without positive feedback.
