1955 classic C600 Bubble nose Ford wrecker,outside of some rust on bottom of doors and door wells , the old body is pretty stright,fenders ,hood cab,step on passenger side is bent up.as a whole it is not all beat up. front and back window has cracks.I've been told it is a holmes 450 twin boom. I extended the booms about 3 ft. has a strap across keeping the booms together,can be put back to stock very easy. I've had this old ford for 33 years (like one of the family) I used it in the yard only, as a boom truck to pull diesel eng. and transmissions so never had it on the road except when I drove it home. the power winch operates off a power take off on tran. it also has a hand operated wench whick comes in handy.Has a 292 V8 5 speed transmision, 2 speed rear end (never tried to use it in the yard) new short block installed a few years back maybe 100 to 200 hrs total on it arond the yard. it has been setting for the past 4 years since I tuned it up with plugs ,plug wires,points, cond, cap ,rotor and rebuilt carb. it run like a clock. but setting the carb. dried out proubly needs a kit in it and tank needs to be taken off and cleaned maybe a new fuel filter. it starts and runs but not as smooth as it could. also water pump looks like it started leaking from setting. needs brake an exhaust work. woud need to be hauled out not road ready. lights and wipers ect.needs work. has 20in tires and rims they are holding air but old as the hills.
