Vehicle Detail
1983 Porsche 944 VIN# WP0AA0943DN452721 Guards Red/Black. This is a rare bird, it's 2 owner 944 with 28k original miles. Plus it came loaded from the Factory with all the right options including Factory Leather Sport Seats, Limited Slip (Locking) Differential, 16" light Alloy Forged Fuchs, front & rear Stabilzer Bars, 5 speed manual transmission and more.... It runs and drives excellent plus it also came loaded with the factory upgraded Leather Sport Steering Wheel (363mm), Head Light washers, Windshield with Factory Graduated Green Tint, it even still has the original Monterery Radio in the dash. Again, the car is very original. Both the engine and transmission are in excellent condition. The motor is quiet, dry and doesn't burn oil. The transmission (ie., gears, synchro's, clutch...) is smooth and defect free. Plus the car has a clean carfax with no stories (ie., no accidents, original miles etc...). The paint is largely original and still shows well. The front spoiler has your typical road rash for a 27 year old car. I was contemplating getting the spoiler repainted and I will repsray it if the buyer wants me to for $300. The interior is also very original and the Leather Sport Seats feel great. The interior's nice but the dash has the typical dash cracks, otherwise the interior's fine. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions. My telephone number is 1-917-620-8158 and we're located on the South Shore of Long Island and the car can be seen and test driven by appt. only. We're located at 526 Mwerrick Rd. Baldwin NY 11510. I also wanted to let everyone know that I had a Pre purchase Inspection (PPI) done at one of the best Porsche shops in the Tri State area and they said it was a really nice, original 28k car. Plus I had them service the car for me after they did the PPI. You can fly in and drive the car home to anywhere in the US as is, hassle free. And just to let everyone know, the service I did cost $2,000. Not quite a full major because it didn't need it but we still retensioned both the timing and balance shaft belts, serviced the A/C, replaced all four tires and gave the car a wheel alignment plus some other minor tweaks. I also wanted you to know the the factory Fuchs had the original tires still on them. The tires were dry rotted and the black centers were faded. When I replaced the tires, I refinished the black centers on the Fuchs and they now look great. The exterior pictures posted were from before the service was performed. Plus I replaced all four tires with highly rated all season Firestone Firehawk GTv's. The replacement tires (205/55 R16 91V) met or exceeded the original factory spec. tires which were no longer available. Plus we gave it a wheel alignment and the front end is tight. You shouldn't be disappointed, we're Porsche experts and the car was in good hands. And something to keep in mind, Even though 944's are entry level Porsches, these cars are not cheap to sort out. Usually when you buy one of these cars for about four or five grand; They usually need another four or five grand to sort out and service plus your still stuck with a car with 100k miles on it. So in the long run your better off stepping up to buy a nice clean, original low mileage car that's been sorted and serviced. Cars like this one are usually the best buys in the long run. So give us a call if you need any help with this car or any other. We'd be glad to help. We're dauntless Auto and we're located on the South Shore of Long Island. On May-04-10 at 15:27:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I been asked by a few people what other work we did and what the car needs. Here's the scoop: I serviced the passenger side rear axel, installed new wiper blades, replaced the front and rear hood struts, replaced the water temp. sensor and head light washer pump. Regarding what it needs, at this point not much but maybe 1 motor mount looks like it's on it's way out, the dash is cracked and I could cover it for about $250 with a nice fitting dash cap (they work great and they're a cheap solution) and maybe the front spoiler painted, other than that, it's a great car. I can't fix everything in these cars or I wouldn't make any money but I try to do my best servicing them vintage sports cars so my buyers always end up happy. I always service my cars before they go out, I just can't make them new cars or I'd have to close up shop.
