Vehicle Detail

This is a true Texas barn find. The owner put this up in 1994 started it every once in a while and I am posting picture before I clean it and after so you can see condiition. This is the first year HEMI ! The First year of Power Steering. Thats right before the cuda charger were born this was tearing up the streets. It is a 331 motor with 180Hp. The only car in 1951 that had optional power steering was Chrysler and this car has it. It is in amazing shape. Although the owner did not think it was ever painted I think it has been OR the factory didnt do as good a job as they should..I will let you judge that for yourself. CLEAR TEXAS TITLE IN HAND upon payment, WHY am I selling it... Well I tried to get into see it for 2 years...It was under cover so I could see whitewalls but not the car... I was looking for a coupe ( ihave a 56 Lincoln coupe). So its a 4 door and also may be Real collectors - I am listing this BEFORE i touch anything... Nothing worse then doing things incorrectly.. If not sold I wil do a correct restart (again owner just thinks I should turn the key BUT I wont) since its been a few years since last start. all fluids look great, The milage is correct as well. It has a lot of very rare options for 1951 . Chrysler in 1951 was all about innovation.. They had there arse kicked the year before in sales and brought this car out to show up the world. THINGS you couldnt get anywhere else V8 HEMI engine, Fluid-Matic Drive Power steering, Power steering was unique to Chrysler. padded dash, power brakes, pb, and tinted glass. The pics are untouched. I will wash the car and see how good the paint looks - already looks good. NO dents all there SO the first shots are after I washed it with soap and water. The rest are how it looked in the barn so that I could represent it as found. This is a good first year hemi Fire Power to add to your MOPAR collection. Most of the chrome is in excellent shape and it is ALL there. Both front and rear bumbers are good driver but should be redone for show I have tried to take close up to help Trunk looks new.Has spare as well. Noticed it was converted to electric fuel pump vs manual (a 65 dollar swap) Heater core looks like a by pass . The dct from blower (cardboard) is missing Floor boards look great The drivers has a little bit of rust.. The tires are old so I would not drive on them -car should be towed. I also have not started it in case a collector wants it untouched.- have tons of photo's I'll be back in Dallas Friday so if you want to see it over the weekend let me know.I will be getting quotes for interior saturday (in case it doesnt sell I want to drive it!!!
