The is a very rare limited edition 75th Anniversary R1100GS. The75th Anniversary GS bikes all came painted Marekesh Red and White. The paint is excellent and shiny. 1100CC flat two cylinder opposed oil head motor, 5 speed, ABS, heated hand grips, self cancelling turn signals with amber running light upgrade, new PIAA driving lamps (May 2010), high sissy bar / back rest / rack, Hepco & Becker fuel tank guards, cylinder head hard plastic guards, front rock guard, aluminum Jesse bags (now $1800 new), new Metzeler Tourance tires front and rear (May 2010). The tires are so new that when I took the pictures on May 2nd you can see that the nipples are still on the tires. This bike has always been stored inside so you won't find faded red on the tach and oxidized aluminum all over the place. A future collectible. Before I put the GS down for the winter in my heated warehouse I had my mechanic go over the bike and give it a full service. All fluids (engine, transmission and rear) were drained and replaced with BMW synthetic oils and of course all filters replaced with OEM BMW filters ,the valves were set, new throttle cable, new alternator belt, timing chain tensioner, new fuel filter, and spark plugs. The bike runs like new and everything works. The Jesse aluminum bags were stripped to bare metal and professionally refinished last month in the correct BMW paint code to match the cases, luggage rack, trim, etc. Less than 50 miles on new Metzeler Tourance tubeless tires. Tires make or break a GS and Metzeler Tourance tires make this bike a fast, stable, nimble in town or highway cruiser. A great long range cruiser and also an excellent bike if you like to ride 2 up. Always the center of attention on the road or at meets. The real GS enthusiast consider the R1100GS to be the best of the breed due to its durability and ease of repair. I will not ship this bike out of the USA,,,,PERIOD,,,,don't ask. However, I will gladly assist you with the shipping arrangements within the Continental USA but all cost for freight (and crating if needed) is your expense.
