Vehicle Detail

1977 Porsche 911 S Coupe Possibly the Best 1977 number matching 911 S in existence? Only 1000 Mls since complete bottom up rebuild After purchasing this Colorado Porsche, a local Porsche mechanic started tearing down all the mechanics of this bone-dry 911. Due to the altitude of Colorado our dry climate causes no corrosion. This Porsche was an easy car to take apart and renew. All suspension and mechanical components have been taken apart and replaced. The Porsche mechanic did so for himself. He did not keep records. One look and you see it is obvious he went through every detail. Every nut and bolt and every bushing was replaced. Any part on this original 92k Mls. original car that had any wear was replaced. While all the parts were off the Porsche the underbody got painted. This Porsche was painted Black from the bottom up. No proof of the original paint can be found because the whole car is painted body shell. The interior still intact as she was originally. You cannot replace a good thing and the interiors are classic quality. After the Porsche mechanic had taken his time building this fantastic Porsche he decided not to be able to take care of this Porsche after all. Much time sweat and tears were spend building this Porsche. He build the car with love. This is easy to  feel when driving this jewel of a car. When rebuilding the engine he gave the car all the improvements that the original 2.7 Liter needed: - Improved and updated Chain tensioners - Updated Head studs - Improved and updated Oil return Tubes This engine has tolerances measured less than 5 on all cylinders with perfect compression across all cylinders. An inspection report was done by Koenig Sales Company in Denver known for owning and selling many used classic Porsches. Because it's age of 33 years this Porsche 911 S is becoming a classic. We made sure to leave the chrome eyebrows alone, any and all parts inside the car alone that give the Porsche that classic feel. The interior has the patina that makes this Porsche take you back to it's early days without suffering from age. Only the dash has two small splits that are covered by a dash cover. Replacing the dash would cause disturbing color changes inside the interior. Otherwise the interior is in perfect shape. We replaced the front seats with high end German leather. We recovered the steering wheel and the Air-conditioning box. Sadly the louvres for the Airco box cannot be easily found. I have not been lucky yet. Leaving the plush carpets in the Porsche alone when in great shape is the right thing to do. You cannot find this quality carpet anymore. The carpets are in very fine condition. I have not put in an Airco-compressor and that is all that is left to get the Porsche cold. Air-conditioning is a very rare option on these early Porsches. You will simply not find another 2.7 Liter 911 S of this era in better condition. This great Porsche had a performance clutch installed when the gear box was taken apart. Gone is the long clutch travel difficult on all early 911's. We also installed the WEVO Short-shift kit. A must for those who intend to drive the car everyday and for those that may find clutch travel too difficult. This Porsche is very easy to get along with. Not always true for this era Porsches. We installed Michelin Pilot tires on the perfect set of Fuchs wheels. Having spend about 1100 miles or in the car I will tell you that this is simply the finest older Porsche I have ever driven. I have a '77 Turbo that is a very difficult car to get along with. My '95 Twin Turbo is fantastic but does not give me that satisfying feel an older 911 does. This Porsche will do nothing but go up in value. We spend all the money to build this great Porsche. You will take advantage of the great pain and money spend. Our bills over the restoration period reach well over $30K. You will get a great deal at any price and it will be much less than the money spend on this Porsche.
