This is very, very solid, original TR4. It is a Los Angeles car. I bought it from the son of the original owner. It sat un-driven, twice, for a decade each time.Frank Monise the British Car specialist in Pasadena did all of the work for me after it had sat for a decade in a driveway in Pasadena. It has all new hoses, pumps, filters, rebuilt dual Stromberg carbs, radiator, new tires, brakes, parking break, full tune up, etc. Ken Sorensen's Top Shop in Pasadena made and installed a new top, new interior and carpeting. The body has never been repainted and there are some small dings around the car. Once getting it back up and running, I have driven it every week a couple of times a week minimum for the last two and a half years. It is very fast, clean and reliable.The 98,825 miles on the working odometer are original. The original radio is in the car but is not connected. The gas guage doesn't go over half a tank, even when it is full, but it is accurate when it gets below a half a tank, so you won't run out of gas.I have the original black California plates for the car, but since it was in storage from 1975 when it was last registered in CA, the DMV made me put new white plates on it. I have been told there is a process you can go through with the DMV to use the old black plates, but I didn't do it.There is an original 1965-1966 Claremont Colleges parking sticker on the rear bumper (colleges just outside of Los Angeles)All of the numbers match. The original interior was red leather. The body number is 37347ct. The last TR4 made was 40,304, so this car was toward the end of the run. This is a great TR, you will love owning and driving it.
