Please be patient... it is worth the wait. This is an incredible 1988 Mercedes 560SL Convertible. This Mercedes 560SL is finished in beautiful White Exterior over Navy Blue Leather Interior. Futhermore, This 560SL has a Navy Blue soft top. Collectors know that the 1988 & 1989 models are the most valuable years for the 560SL as it was the last two years of production for this model. THE HISTORY The Mercedes 560SL has only 105,133 miles on it... That's an average of 4,800 miles per year.... it’s practically Brand New for a Mercedes!!! The VIN is WDBBA48D1JA081363. It was built by Mercedes Benz at their Sindelfingen production facility in Germany and imported into the USA in December of 1987. It was sold Brand New by Rallye Mercedes Benz in Roslyn New York in January of 1988 with just 18 miles on the odometer to the original owners who had homes in both Naples Florida (a very affluent area) and in Holmdel New Jersey (another affluent area). These one and only owners of this 560SL kept it at their home in New Jersey until moving down to their Naples home full time in September of 2003. The 560SL had 98,390 miles on the odometer at that time. They swtiched the New Jersey title over to a Florida title in March of 2004 and the 560SL had 99,436 miles on the odometer at that time. I have this clean and clear FL title in my hands. They had the car serviced at Mercedes Benz of Naples when needed with the most recent being on January 22nd of 2010 and with 104,869 miles on the odometer. Finally, after owning and enjoying this 560SL for just over twenty two years (WOW... Long Term Ownership !!!), these one and only original owners decided it was time for something else and on April 15th of 2010 and with just 105,095 miles on the odometer, they traded this 560SL in at Mercedes Benz of Naples on a new Mercedes. This dealership offered it to me and I purchased it to offer for sale here on eBay. THE CONDITION The overall exterior condition of the vehicle is very very good. No exterior damage exists on the car itself except for maybe a few minor touched up rock chips or a couple very fine scratches, as you would expect on a vehicle half, or even a third, of this age. The paint is very glossy with zero signs of clear coat fade. The interior is beautiful as well although some very minor wear does exist... but like that of a 40k mile car. The carpeting is still plush. The seat cushions are still firm and supportive. All of the major mechanicals are in good functioning condition. The engine starts up immediatly and runs very strong. The transmission shifts easily through the gears. The only two mechanical flaws we can find are that the clock is keeping inaccurate time and the external temp gauge stays on -20'. Neither of these would stop you from enjoying this SL for another 30 years. I have one master key, some owners manuals, the roof tool, and the carpet floormats. The tires on this Mercedes are beautiful Agility Touring's with approx 90% of the tread life left on them. The soft top opens and closes perfectly and appears to have been recently replaced as the material is in excellent shape. This 560SL needs nothing except you as the new driver. This is a chance to have a Practically Brand New Mercedes 560SL for a hugely reduced price. I have run the Carfax on this Mercedes and it came back PERFECTLY Clean with no accident history. It also notes the Carfax Buyback Guarantee. I ran the AutoCheck on this 560SL and it came back PERFECT as well. It notated the AutoCheck Assured Buyback Protection. As standard practice... on any vehicle we purchase; we have a Post Sale Inspection done by an ASE Certified and NAAA Frame Inspection Certified inspector. This is an inspection that checks the major mechanicals of the vehicle as well as a full frame and structure inspection. This inspection, if a defect is found, allows us to give back the vehicle to who we bought it from; therefore rest assured that you are not bidding on and buying a piece of junk. The inspection was completed on April 21st 2010 and no mechanical defects or frame damage was found. I have taken over 100 photos of this beautiful vehicle.
