Vehicle Detail
A Hummer H1 is no ordinary 4x4 and this is no ordinary Hummer! If you are not well educated on the Hummer H1 you should watch this video. This was a promotional video made for the Hummer when it was introduced. This Hummer has had many factory upgrades above what is shown as well as many additional options that are not shown in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZG5dVSRm-I This Hummer H1 has been used as a search and rescue vehicle as part of a national resource for major disaster response. Last year his Hummer was leased to a government agency as a task force vehicle for a special law enforcement assignment in the remote mountain areas of Utah and Nevada. The agency has not renewed the lease on this Hummer so it will be sold at no reserve to the highest bidder. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this truck and it has been serviced by authorized dealerships on a regular basis. The options include every available option that an H1 can have as well as a large list of additional features. There is well over $30,000 in additional options to this Hummer. Here is a partial list. Police / Emergency operation equipment: Full police light package. This includes the “wing light bar” installed in August of 2009 and a complete 360 degree light system including flashing lights on the front and sides. There are three alley lights on each side of the light bar and take down lights are installed on the same bracket as the light bar. A “wig-wag” system is installed on the front running lights. Full siren and PA system. All police equipment is operated by a hand held remote system. All of this equipment is set up with clear lights when they are not activated. The lights are currently red and blue but can be changed to other colors for non-emergency use. In order to comply with eBay policy I will remove the main fuse from the police lights so they are inoperable. All equipment will come with the vehicle as long as the vehicle is sold to an individual that is authorized to operate a vehicle with emergency lights. You will be required to sign an affidavit stating that you understand that this vehicle may not be operated with emergency lights activated unless you are legally authorized to do. If you do not want the light package you will be given a discount of $3,500. off of the winning bid amount and the lights will be removed and restored to the original condition. Here is a link to a video of the vehicle wit the lights operating.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjDcF0WD34Y Cage: this Hummer is equipped with a full police cage that separates the front seating are from the rear seating area. Gun Mounts: The cage is equipped with two gun mounts. The mounts are fully adjustable to hold any type of rifle or shotgun. The mounts have an electric locking system that can be unlocked by pressing a remote switch or can be manually opened using a handcuff key. Ammo locker: There is an ammunition locker mounted in the rear seating area. This can be secured by a key lock and is set up with multiple drawers to hold various types of ammunition or other products. Radios: The Motorola radio in the photo belongs to a law enforcement agency and will be removed and returned to the agency. If you need a two way radio I will replace this with another Motorola radio of similar value before you pick up the truck. The CB radio will remain where it is. Spot light: There is a mounted “Go light”. This spotlight can be operated by a toggle switch located in the cab or by a hand held remote that can be operated from several hundred feet away. Brake light kill switch: There are two switches that allow the driver to disable the brake lights and all inside lights (so they will not come on when you open a door) Locking rear storage: There is a large metal storage box that is mounted in the rear of the Hummer and accessed from the rear doors. This is a perfect place to store valuable equipment and medical supplies. Video Screens: There are four video screens in this vehicle. Each screen is mounted in front of the four bucket seats. The drivers screen is retractable and comes out of the stereo. The screens are linked to a video feed in the glove box that allows you to plug in a video receiver (not included) We were able to watch any video downlinks from a remote transmitter, including the FLIR system from the helicopter that could be down linked to the video receiver so that all passengers in the Hummer can see what the observer in the helicopter could see on his screen. This could also be fed from any remote camera. If you don’t have all that fancy equipment you can just watch a DVD of your favorite movie. There is a great Monsoon sound system and Pioneer Stereo/ CD / DVD player as well. Other options: Air conditioning (brand new system installed in March of 2010) Power windows Power door locks Heated windshield Rear defroster Heated Mirrors Leather seats CD / DVD player with four screens Tire inflation / deflation system (watch the first video) 12,000 lb factory installed winch Front push bar / grill guard Custom driving lights Custom heavy duty rear bumper with step Fender flares Large roof rack (capable of holding two Quad motorcycles) Additional rear seat (seats a total of 7) The back seat is made for children. Custom Rims 38 inch tire (do not rub) Full skid protection Two fuel tanks High water snorkel ( This truck has never been in water over two feet deep but it is capable of traveling through 4 feet, just go to youtube and watch the H1’s driving in water to see what these are capable of) 6.5 Turbo Diesel. This Hummer has plenty of power, it seems to have a lot more power than the other Hummers but I am not sure what enhancements have been done. This H-1 had about 20k miles when we got it. I have driven the 2006 Alfa model and could not see a difference in power. 4 speed Automatic Transmission Custom sheep skin seat covers (I took them off for the photos but this Hummer has had seat covers since day one) there are no tears in the seats, they look great! Driven less than 6,000 miles per year!! There is so much to talk about that I can not possibly list everything. You are welcome to come see it, drive it. It is currently in Texas near San Antonio (about 30 miles north) You will notice that some of the pictures show this with police decals and others show it as black and white. It is currently black and white with no police stickers on it, except for the one on the hood. If you are the winning bidder I will have it painted back to black if you request. The interior is in great shape. The body is in great shape. This Hummer has been very well cared for and spent most of its days in a garage or covered parking. It has also seen it share of extreme conditions and it always came through. I have driven and owned everything from FJ 40’s to Jeeps, nothing compares to this! You can take this Hummer to the worst possible situations and it will out perform the best four wheel drives out there. Then you can park it next to an exotic car and still draw a crowd. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. This truck will go to the highest bidder. THERE IS NO "BUY IT NOW PRICE", IT MUST BE SOLD AT AUCTION This truck will come with a clear Texas Title and current safety inspection. I stronly encourage you to watch the youtube videos on the H1, there is nothing else like it. Here are some specs I found on his vehicle: (this would be stock specifications) Boasting 16 inches (40 cm) of ground clearance as well as super-aggressive approach and departure angles, the Humvee could clamber over a 22-inch (56 cm) high obstacle, handle a 60 percent grade and wade through up to 30 inches (76 cm) of water." They also can ford 30 inches (76 cm) of water, climb a 22-inch (56 cm) step, have a stock ground clearance of 16 inches (41 cm). This high clearance is made possible by tucking driveline components inside a channel in the central space between the left and right seats. They have high approach/departure angles of 72/37.5 degrees. Most H1s are equipped with a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS), which enables the driver to increase or decrease the tire air pressure at will- since lower tire pressures are more suited for off road, and higher tire pressures are desirable on-road. Hummer H1s have many unusual features. They use inboard brakes. They have portal gears, allowing the drive train’s half shafts to be up high for greater clearance. The radiator is up high, sloping back over the engine on a forward hinged hood. The air intake is mounted high, enabling fording waist-level water. Turbo compressor 6,466 cc 6.5 liters 8 V engine with 103 mm bore, 97 mm stroke, 20.2 compression ratio, overhead valve and two valves per cylinder Diesel fuel Fuel economy EPA highway (l/100km): 15.7 Diesel indirect injection fuel system Main 95 liter diesel fuel tank , auxiliary 64 liter diesel fuel tank Power: SAE and 145 kW , 195 HP @ 3,400 rpm; 430 ft lb , 583 Nm @ 1,800 rpm On May-05-10 at 08:57:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a few people write and ask about dings, dents, tire tread and seat condition. There are no dings or dents. When the police decals were taken off of the H1 (with a pressure washer) a small piece of paint came off of the body in front of the driver’s door. I included a picture so you can see the aluminum body is exposed. We decided not to repair that before listing because we did not know if the winning bidder would want the entire H1 painted back to black or not. Either way I can have the shop repaint that section if you wish. I took the seat covers off to inspect the seats myself. The back seats both look like new and the front seats look pretty good. There is one crack in the corner of the passenger seat and a few cracks in the corner of the driver’s seat. I will post pictures of that as well. The tires are in very good shape. At least 70% of the tread is left. There have never been problems with the engine, transmission or drive train for as long as we have had the vehicle. The AC compressor went out earlier this year and the AC system was replaced, it works very well. Winch works great, just pulled a log out of the road with it in January.
