THE HISTORY The Mercedes SL500 has only 78,516 miles on it... it’s practically Brand New for a Mercedes!!! The VIN is WDBFA68F82F201971. It was built by Mercedes Benz at their Bremen production facility in Germany and imported into the USA in March of 2001. It was sold Brand New by Autohaus Mercedes Benz in Pompano Beach Florida on January 11th of 2002 with just 12 miles on the odometer to the original elderly owners who had homes in both Boca Raton Florida (a very affluent area) and in McHenry Illinois (another very affluent area). After owning and enjoying this SL500 for just over two years, these original owners decided it was time for something else and in mid May of 2003 and with just 8,348 miles on the odometer, gave this SL500 to their children who lived in Abingdon Maryland. This transaction was done through Valley Motors Mercedes Benz and the vehicle was "sold" to the children via a lease with Mercedes Benz Credit. The children of these original owners enjoyed this SL500 for another three years (and had it serviced normally at Valley Motors Mercedes Benz) until the lease term was finally over. On August 10th of 2006 with just 39,433 miles on the odometer, they returned the SL500 to Mercedes Benz Credit who in turn sold the vehicle to Mercedes Benz of Cherry Hill in New Jersey. This stunning SL500 had no trouble finding a new owner and on January 3rd of 2007 with just 39,468 miles on the odometer, this SL500 began to put a smile on its new owner's face. This new owner lived in South Florida (the car came back home !!!) as well and kept it serviced at Mercede Benz of Pembroke Pines. This owner purchased an extended warranty on the SL500 to ensure the ability to keep it running perfectly. CarFax indicates multiple routine maintenance's and other service records. Finally in January of 2010, after enjoying this SL500 for just over three years, this owner decided to trade this SL500 in with 77,910 miles on the odometer at The Collection in Miami Florida on a preowned Porsche Convertible. This dealership offered it to me and I purchased it to offer for sale here on eBay. THE CONDITION The overall exterior condition of the vehicle is very very good, almost as if only a few years old. No exterior damage exists on the car itself except for maybe a few minor touched up rock chips on the front or a couple very fine scratches, as you would expect on a vehicle half, or even a third, this age. The interior is beautiful... some very minor wear does exist... but like that of a 40k mile car. I have two master keys, the 6CD cartridge, the Motorola telephone, the owners manuals, and a set of carpet floormats. The tires on this Mercedes are beautiful Michelin Pilot Sport's with approx 90% of the tread life left on them. The soft top opens and closes perfectly. We replaced the hydraulic cylinders and the top functions with zero leaks and zero issues. This SL500 needs nothing except you as the new driver. This is a chance to have a Practically Brand New Mercedes SL500 for a hugely reduced price. I have run the Carfax on this Mercedes and it came back PERFECTLY Clean with no accident history. It also notes the Carfax Buyback Guarantee. I ran the AutoCheck on this SL500 and it came back PERFECT as well. It notated the AutoCheck Assured Buyback Protection. As standard practice... on any vehicle we purchase; we have a Post Sale Inspection done by an ASE Certified and NAAA Frame Inspection Certified inspector. This is an inspection that checks the major mechanicals of the vehicle as well as a full frame and structure inspection. This inspection, if a defect is found, allows us to give back the vehicle to who we bought it from; therefore rest assured that you are not bidding on and buying a piece of junk. The inspection was completed on April 21st 2010 and no mechanical defects or frame damage was found. I have taken over 100 photos of this beautiful vehicle.
