Vehicle Detail

This is my 1978 International Harvester Scout II that I had intentions to do a restoration on but I haven't had the time to do so. I have a clear title to it. It could be used for a restoration project, trail, or parts vehicle. It has the 345ci engine and rare 4 speed manual transmission. The Scout has power steering, power brakes, factory A/C, Dana 44 front axles with disc brakes, and Dana 44 rear axles. This is all original from the factory, as with most later models Scouts. The front hubs still engage and disengage smoothly. It has been sitting for a while so it does not run. The engine is not seized, or locked up and everything is all there. It ran when it was parked but it has been sitting for a long time. Rust in all the normal areas for Scout's - rocker panels, above the rear tires on the outside panels, and floor boards also. There is not a lot of rust anywhere else except some surface rust. Factory front bench seat has been removed by previous owner and replaced with bucket seats. Rear drivers side window is missing thanks to a kid and a BB gun. Tires are used Cooper Discoverer H/T 265/75R15. Fifth tire is in the back. This vehicle really needs someone to fix it up. However, once it's yours you can do as you like, but they are becoming harder to find these days. This was a barn find I bought from a second owner family. VIN #H0062HGD47091. Manufactored 07/25/78. Odometer reads 43058. I assume this is 143,058 but it hasn't been driven in a number of years so I don't know exactly. For sale locally, I have the right to end bid at anytime. Please ask questions before you bid if you are unsure about anything. Local Pick-up ONLY. I will help you load it since it does not run. If you want to arrange shipping, contact me, you must handle all shipping yourself, I will not find a service for you. $500 dollar non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours after the auction is over. Full payment within 7 days. If you cannot pick up within two weeks after the auction is over, $5 a day fee until pick up.
