1993 Jeep Cherokee Country For your consideration today I have a used 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country. I have owned this Jeep since March 2000 & have driven it almost every day till yesterday when I aquired a replacement. It is in running order & can be driven. This Jeep has been a great vehicle for us & can not be stopped by snow. It has plowed through bumper deep drifts & kept right on going. The Good The engine runs decently. Transmission shifts fine 4 wheel drive works fine (when I used it last-which was in February) New water pump & serpentine belt 10/2009 starter was replaced in 2009 New battery ( 3/2010) Most of the ignition system was replaced in 2007 (ignition control module, Coil, plug wires, crank sensor) AM/FM Stereo with cassette player & Sony 10 disk CD changer-all in working order. Power windows & locks work fine The Bad The tires are worn out it leaks oil Neutral safety switch has been bypassed it pulls to the left bad vibration in the front end at 60+mph Shocks (rear) struts (front) need replacement The interior is ok for the most part, but there is a hole in the drivers seat & the carpets are stained. The steering wheel has a few small chunks out of it. The exhaust will need replacement at some point-it's not very noisy, but a couple of the exhaust hangers have broken & been replaced with wire. The ugly The body is rough shape in spots-It is rusty down low along the sides & has a hole in the floor board next to the front passenger door. In addition there is a broken hinge on the front passenger door.Also one of the mounts for the rear bumper has rusted & broke. It is wired together on that side. This vehicle is being sold AS-IS! No warranty is given or implied. If you are handy with body & mechanical work this Jeep could be rehabilitated Otherwise if you have a good Jeep body, but need some mechanicals it could be used for parts. I will include the Chilton's manual I have for the Jeep as well as a spare serpentine belt in the sale. As I have indicated it is running & can be driven away. The junkyard offered me $200 for it, so I have put a reserve of $200 on it. On Apr-05-10 at 04:47:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I almost forgot this: the blower motor for the heat does not work. The heat itself works, but there is no fan to push it. Also the Jeep is equipped with Air Conditioning, but it does not work.
