1986 Military M1008 1.25ton pickup. I bought this truck bone stock one year ago down in AL from the gov DRMO lot. First thing I did once bringing it home was install a new 6in rough country lift, had the driveshaft retubed and extended, then installed 37in TSL Super Swampers (which have been removed, truck clears 38.5in boggers without rub). Currently on stock tires from military in great shape. Truck runs great and starts up every time, I wouldn't be afraid to drive it cross country. It's equipped with the emissions exempt 6.2L Diesel with 73,000mi (title states exempt due to age), th400 transmission, NP208 transfercase, Dana 60 front, and 14 bolt rear (with Detroit Locker) housing 4.56 gears. Truck is still running the 24v electrical system with dual alts (both rebuilt 8 months ago), new glowplugs and relay, batts are 6 months old. New rear window and heatercore. Troop seats in bed are in good shape. This has basically been my toy truck, just a weekend cruiser. Clean title in hand... Tags on doors are just stickers. I can deliver, either by driving truck to you or by towing on gooseneck. Problems: There is rust in the rockers and cab corners, rear view mirror is missing, the turn signal on the pass side does not work, large dent on the pass side bed (otherwise very nice), dirty, dashpad cracked, drivers side of seat is coming apart at seam, indicator for what gear your in is MIA, wheel bearings could stand to be repacked, and the transfercase leaks a little at front adapter gasket. Selling to save up for a GSXR bike, would trade up (cash) if you happen to have an 2005 or newer with low miles.
