The good: 131,200 miles, 6 cylinder, used every day and weekends. I've done long trips to Jersey, Connecticut and Long Island. P/W, door locks, mirrors, tilt steering, am/fm cassette, lighted visor mirrors, roof rack. Body looks great, nice black iron grill added to front bumper. New radiator put in this past February. 2001 was the last year the regular Cherokee was made (not Grand Cherokee). The bad: Engine losing compression. Engine working on 5 cylinders/injectors, one of them isn't firing for over a year now. Runs like it needs a tune-up, burning a little more gas than usual. Diagnostic test says engine has no compression, but you give it enough gas and it moves. Does not have front wheel drive. When I bought the jeep, it was missing the piece to engage the front wheel drive. The jeep is in the Bronx in case you want to see the jeep during the weekday, it is parked Monday - Friday on Lafayette Avenue off of Whitestone Expressway (I take the bus into Queens), either by post office or catholic high school.
