Vehicle Detail

For Sale is my 91 K1500, which I bought from a friend of mine about 5 years ago. I'm going to try to list everything that I know is wrong with the vehicle so that the buyer can have a clear idea of what they are bidding on, but if there is any additional information you would like please submit a question and I will answer it as soon as possible. The motor is strong, even with the miles, but sometimes when you get it over 60 mph on the highway the "check engine" light will come on. I checked the code and it is showing a "32" indicating a problem with the EGR system. This doesn't seem to affect performance at all, but if the EGR valve is bad a new one is only $60 at autozone and relatively easy to install. The truck doesn't immediately direct power to the wheels the first time you put it in gear each day. I believe this is due to the torque converter leaking back into the transmission, and then filling back up once the crankshaft starts spinning. It's been doing this every since I bought it, and it only occurs the first time you put it in gear; the rest of the day it will behave normally. The headliner has fallen is some places, but I have it secured back up with "saggy-stoppers". When it rains heavy, there is a small drip into the rear of the cab which I am pretty sure is coming from around the exterior cargo light. I thought about just caulking around it with clear calk, but I left it so that if the purchaser decides to replace the headliner they can easily replace the cargo light seal at the same time. One of the headlight brackets is a little loose, I think it's missing a screw. The dashboard has a few small cracks. The is three small dings on the passenger side of the truck. The rim of the bed (especially on the tailgate) has several marks from loading/unloading stuff. The air conditioner blows but is not cold. Since the truck was driven very little in the year before I bought it, I suspect that the seals in the A/C system dried out and all the freon leaked out. The latch that raises the back seat up (for additional storage in the ext cab) is broken. The window tint has creased on the passenger door window, and in torn on one of the small windows in the rear of the cab. Now for the good stuff: I had the steering linkage worked on (including replacing the pittman arm) about 5K miles ago I had the rear end completely rebuilt about 5K miles ago. This included replacing both axles, all the gears, and the limited slip diff. The transmission fluid was flushed 5K miles ago. The engine was given a tune up less than 100 miles ago. This included new fuel filter, new plugs, new wires, new distributor cap, etc. I put a new Duralast Gold battery in it 2 months ago. The truck is remarkably rust-free for its age. 4WD system works as expected. It is a little slow to disengage from 4HI to 2HI, which is pretty typical of this model. Whoever wins the auction will get themselves a great work / hunting truck that still looks pretty good. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Note that the truck is for sale in Kentucky, and I believe the buyer will have to meet me at the courthouse in order to transfer the title... if that poses a problem, let me know and I can find out for sure.On Apr-23-10 at 08:54:37 PDT, seller added the following information:* NOTE * - I have verified that the buyer will not have to be present in order to transfer the title (see questions below), so pickup of the vehicle on a weekend is possible. However, I will likely be out of town from early Friday 4/30 until midday on Sunday 5/2, so pickup will not be possible during that time.On Apr-26-10 at 18:10:07 PDT, seller added the following information:*Note - I have had a few questions about the accident reported in the vehicle's history report, which apparently happened several years before I bought it. Since the report noted a "LEFT REAR IMPACT WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE" I looked it over a little more closely and found a dent in the back bumper on the left side that I had not previously noticed. You can barely see it in the photo; if you look between the "H" and "E" on the tailgate letters and follow that straight down you can see the dent at the very bottom of the bumper (beside the trailer wire that is dangling). It looks like someone might have backed a trailer hitch into the bumper and dented it (but not so much that I ever noticed it). It wouldn't surprise me if that was the accident that is noted.
