Vehicle Detail

Just to start, please read the entire listing. This car is 39 years old . It may have some missing screws or nuts and bolts missing or in the wrong place .This is not being sold as a perfect car .So, if you want a show car , this is not for you . Please , if you see something in the pictures that you don't like , bid on another car , if you can find one . I would like this car to go to a Great Home . The reality is that I most likely will never get around to restoring this car . My loss , your gain . I bought this car in 2001 .Drove it home (300 miles) , and parked it .Other than moving it on the property , the car has not been driven or registered since .Ca. bidders beware , there will be DMV penalties . Out of state should be no problem . With one exception , you could probably get in and drive this car across country . The exception is , it needs a new muffler . Sounds good , tho . This is a REAL Trans Am . The motor is not number matching . The block code is "YE" . It reads as a 1971 455 HO auto . This car is a four speed . Still 71 but not the correct motor .It runs SUPER . Always starts and idles . Pretty good for as much as it sits . The rest of the drive train I beleive is orignal . In the pictures you will see that the air cleaner has no tubes , they have been removed . Orignal a/c , missing tubes . The interior is in fair to good shape . Passenger seat and top of back seat have some splits and or cracks . The rear shelf has two speaker holes in it . The sail panels are black , will need to be dyed. Factory am/fm radio . Don't know if it works , but it's there . The trunk is in good shape . There is no spare or jack . Where do they all go ? The paint is in great shape . Could use a good polish and detail . A few little scratches and dings . Again , not perfect but a very nice car .On Apr-19-10 at 02:25:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to put in here that the door panels are not the orignal , (they appear to be a later model) the orignal ones which are not in the greatest shape will be put in the trunk when sold . It will also need a front spoiler as there is none . Any questions , email me back .On Apr-22-10 at 18:58:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had alot of requests for more pictures . I uploaded as many as I could . Hope they help . Also , I have been asked if there is any bondo or rust on the car . The car has been repainted at least once in its life . In the nine years that I have owned the car , there has been no rust visible or any kind of sand scratches ,. Basically , whatever was done under the paint was done very well . I am sure there is body filler on the car , you just can't tell . I guess if you wanted to strip off the paint , you could find whatever was done . You sure would mess up a nice paint job , though . To clarify , the car does not have air conditioning . I made the mistake of saying the tubes on the a/c were missing . The a/c is the air cleaner . Sorry for the misunderstanding . I hope all this helps . Happy bidding....
