1978 F-250 Ranger Camper Special! Your bidding on what was a $2,000-2,500 truck last week. I was just about to put in a spray in bed liner and a new carpet and it would have been worth $3,000. Last Sunday the tranny started slipping a little and it takes longer than normal to engage in drive. THE GOOD: - Low miles(88045 origanal, look at the pedals thats the best way to tell) 460cid engine with a C6 tranny is a highly sought combo, Holley 750 carb is great, Interior is perfect except for the carpet and the door panels (they pull away from the door, use the window legde to close it) no tears in the seats no cracks in the dash, new heater core works great, it's equipped with a/c but it's not hooked up, most of the body is straight(see pics), all lights work inside and out(except one dash light, it lights the battery and temp guage), big duralast battery, truck speaker box behind seat, new winshield wipers. THE BAD:- Transmission started slipping a couple days ago, surface rust in the bed, goes through in one small spot but it's solid all around it, I had it full of bricks two weeks ago. The tail gate and bumper are dinged up the normal amount, nickle size surface rust spots on the doors, both rear fenders look to have been replaced at some point because they are different colors(see pics), tires are old and were about to be replaced(back right has a slow leak), bed rails are dinged up,I was about to do brake pads, cd player stopped working, back left panel has spot that is rust through(see pics). SUMMARY:- Last week this truck would spin the tires with a bed full of bricks. I could have got $2000-3000 easy. Then the tranny started slipping. I'm selling it locally and reserve the right to end auction, I'll drive it to you if your close enough and I have the time, but buyer is ultimately responsible for getting it. I need $300 within 48 hours of auction close and the rest by pick up. Look at my feedback and bid with confidence.
