1971 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible: This is a very straight rust free Cadillac Convertible. It is a fully equipped with an automatic transmission and front wheel drive - with power windows, power steering, power brakes, power top, and power seats that work as they should. It has a factory equipped 500 cubic inch engine that is factory rated at 365 hp. It runs and drives good. Fly into to Salt Lake City and drive it home. I just drove it approximately 100 miles and it runs and drives well. I have taken numerous pictures and they are super-sized for clear viewing. Eldorado was the top of line model for Cadillac in 1971. It is very complete and the original owner's manual is in the glove box. The convertible top is in good condition and works properly. The tires are in very good condition. It is not perfect, but is in very good condition for a 40 year old car. Drive it while you restore it. The odometer read less than 76,000 miles, but I cannot confirm the mileage. The problem areas are few and not critical to the car. The engine runs good, the transmission shifts smoothly, and body is very straight and rust free. The problems areas are as follows: 1. The passenger's side rear window does not work. (The rest of the windows work well.) The passenger's side window is there, including the side panel, but it needs work - possibly a new power window switch. 2. The side chrome piece is missing on the driver's side. 3. The driver's side latch that locks the convertible top to the windshield doesn't work properly. 4. The passenger's side (outside) door handle is missing. (The door works properly by using the inside handle.) 5. The driver's side exhaust manifold leaks and sounds loud until the car is warmed up. (The exhaust system is almost new, but the manifold will need to be replaced.) 5. The rear seat has sun damage and will need attention. Most of the original leather interior is in good shape. 6. The carpets need to be replaced. The original carpets are still in the car, but are tattered. The reserve on the cadillac is very low.
