Vehicle Detail

You're bidding on my beautifully restored '63 Lincoln Continental Convertible. If you want attention when you drive down the road, this is your chance to own one of the most unique American body styles ever produced. It's like driving in a parade every day. There were only 3138 made and after almost 50 years there can't be many left on the road. 1963 is the most desirable of the suicide door models, with the best lines and rear ends of the series. Definitely the most desirable color combination, with new black paint, a new black top, and new black interior. The 430 c.i., 4-barrel, 320 h.p. engine was rebuilt a few years ago and just re-sealed and re-painted in the last few months. It runs great and can be a daily driver (if you can afford the gas). The entire hydraulic system that runs the top and the trunk was replaced and updated about a year ago and has only been used a handful of times. It's an original California car and has apparently never lived anywhere else and has the solid, clean body and frame that comes with that. We know it was originally sold at a Los Angeles dealer and it still has the original 1963 black California license plates, which is also extremely rare. Just to be clear, the car is not original. It was an ugly white with hideous blue interior when I got it. I felt it was more important to make it as nice as possible with the ideal color combination (black, black, and more black) rather than keeping the original colors, so I had the body/paint, chrome, carpet, apholstery, etc. completely re-done and put a brand new top on it. We did everything with keeping the original look in mind. About the only obvious difference from original is the 3" whitewalls that I couldn't resist, which only have a few hundred miles on them. The engine is also not the original, but it is the correct one for the era. It was taken from a '64 which used the identical 430 4-barrel. I do have the original engine still, which is almost complete and is rebuildable. I also have an extra transmission that to the best of my knowledge is completely functional as is. I'll never claim that the car is perfect, after all it is almost 50 years old, but it is beautiful, dependable, and gets everybody's attention when you drive by. Feel free to email with any questions.
