This is a 1978 AMC Pacer Electric Vehicle Associates (EVA) 120V electric car. It has only 24 original miles! I am listing this for a friend so we can make room for a new storage building. This car was never registered and was going to be used as a test platform for the development of a propane hybrid engine that was built but was never installed in the car. The car was only driven around the industrial park (24 miles to be exact) prior to the project coming to an end. This car has not been run since 1977 when it was new. The car was stored for a few years in Ohio and then moved to Maine in the early 80's where it now sits. It has been stored outdoors under a tarp. As the pictures show the car is very dirty. The condition of the car seems to be up to par for something sitting for 30+ years. The floors have some rust along with the bottom edge of some of the body. The rear brakes seem to be locked up due to rust. The tires are no good. The interior does not seem to be that bad just dirty. This car could reach speed of 60+ mph and had a range of 50 miles on a single charge. It is powered by a 15kw motor with 20 - 6 volt batteries which can be charged by 110v or 220 v. Unlike most electric cars this had a gas heater.
