Great car!! This Impala was purchased by myself last year at a Rural Farm Estate Auction. This car is all original, except it was repainted many years ago the same color as original. The car actually is a 59K car, I spoke with the brother of the deceased gentleman who owned the car from new. He had been quite ill for several years, and as a farmer used only his pickup truck all of the time and the car was kept in his garage. This car has the 283 V/8 2brl, Powerglide auto trans, also has factory power steering and brakes. One other option this car has is the padded dash, and it is in excellent condition as is most of the original interior, the headliner although fully intact is stained and the carpet also original needs replacement. The car has been checked over mechanically and serviced, the carburator has been rebuilt, all fluids checked and changed as necessary. All of the lights and windows " note " all are intact with no damage and the radio also works as designed. The floors are rock solid, as is the trunk. There is one area of rust on the passenger side rocker panel below the rear door." see photo". She is going to require new paint, as the existing is scatched and chipped. The great thing is other than needing new tires to replace the current weather checked bias ply tires which are still on this old girl, she starts great ,doesn't smoke and runs , shifts and drives wonderfully. I was going to restore this great car, however other projects have commanded my attention. I am starting this auction off at a very low starting bid, hopefully serious enough to keep the dreamers and others from engaging in folly. I also am going to sell this car to the high bidder therefor, No Reserve!! Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding.
