************ PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE RESPONDING ************ I'm thinking of selling my 2004 Porsche Boxster 986 2.7L Tiptronic with 107.660 miles. Car has clean Title and clean Carfax Report but pls DO NOT MAKE ANY BIDS until you read the entire description below and talk to me first PLS. I can't list this 986 for parts because car is technically running and it's in a good shape. Engine starts right away, all electronics and computer work, roof works, etc etc etc, but car has a problem with a Transmission leak, possibly RMS or transmission Pump or whatever causing the leak but I. Can't really say until my Mechanic finds out what is going on.There is a kind of "grinding noise" coming from the transmission area when all fluid leaks out and I had the tranny refilled but there is really no point doing it if all fluid is going to leak out during even short drive.I drove the car very short distance from the place where I bought it and except the "noise" car drove normally without any problems but after all Transmission Fluid liked out the tranny lost the compression and I didn't drive the car since. My friend mechanic is suggesting fixing the transmission or even buying another one before I sell the car but I have tons of other expenses so I might be better off selling the car As-Is since I am not intending to keep it anyway even after it's all fixed.Obviously car needs some repair so please do not bid on it until I get some ideas what can possibly be wrong with it cuz like I said I drove it few times but leaking transmission fluid makes it impossible so you wouldn't be able to drive it home without running into risk of transmission losing compression and you getting stuck somewhere and possibly causing more damage to the transmission.I'm asking $5.500 and I may possibly go lower if I don't find a Buyer but then again if I decide to buy rebuild transmission and replace it I will obviously ask for more money. Again ... PLEASE contact me FIRST before making any bids or offers so we don't run into any problems later unless you are 100% sure you want the car. I would prefer to find a Local Buyer so he can check the car himself but would consider all other options or suggestions so it's easier for a BuyerFeel free to ask any questions you wish if you're interested.Thank you for reading.
