Up for auction is a very clean 71 Chevrolet C-10 Custom that started out originally as a long bed. I build my trucks so you can get in them and drive them today and do any upgrades you wish down the road. I have finished over 15 of these builds in the last two years. This 71 was taking down to the cab and frame,I shorten the frame under the cab using a full fish plate welded on the inside and the outside is welded and ground smooth so you cant even see the cut.The bed was shortened by a fabricator I use who cuts them on the ends.New outer and inner rockers and lower kick panels were installed, everything else was solid. The truck runs a late model 350 that runs strong. Transmission is a Turbo 400 which shifts nicely. I had a new one piece drive-line and new u-joints made for it and balanced.All new exhaust which dumps right down in the rear by the lower bed side. New windshield and all new rubbers,new hounds-tooth seat,all interior finished,factory tach,heater and defrost has new hoses and work correctly. New heater core,new hoses and belts.Power brakes and steering,lowering springs,new rear shocks,new rear bumper,new side marker lights.I painted the interior and jams hugger orange and outside flat hugger orange, Im not a body man so there is still a few character flaws in the body. I welded up all the mirror holes as you see in all these old trucks.This C-10 is not a pull out of the pasture and put gas in it and flip. I take pride in my trucks but at the same time make them affordable so you can afford to be in the hobby.So bid with confidence because you know the cost of these trucks and what it takes to get it one built. So less than 50 miles on all tires and alignment done.
