RELISTED DUE TO NONPAYING BIDDER. DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO BUY. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. Offered for sale is my 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV in tungsten metallic. This is a four-wheel drive, police package ("pursuit rated") Tahoe that I purchased brand new in February of 2015. This vehicle has never been in police or government service and has enjoyed an easy life of commuter driving with the majority of the miles coming from interstate highway. The Tahoe has approximately 66,000 miles (65,035 as of 10/20/2018 but may increase gradually until sold). I have owned and driven this Tahoe since new and am selling to fund a replacement, 2018 Tahoe PPV, which I received in mid-January. EXTERIOR This Tahoe is finished in GM's tungsten metallic clearcoat. The police package deletes the factory roof rack, but I am told that the provisions to mount a roof rack are still in the roof gutters. This results in an overall cleaner appearance and I prefer the look without the roof rack. The police package also deletes all exterior badging, with the exception of the Chevrolet bowtie emblem on the hood. Gone are the "Tahoe" badges from the sides and the "Tahoe" and Chevrolet badges from the tailgate. The factory "shaved" appearance is very sleek, but the factory emblems are adhesive and easily and inexpensively obtained online or from a Chevrolet dealer. The police package 17" steel wheels were replaced shortly after delivery (9 miles on the odometer) with a set of factory takeoff polished 20" five-spoke wheels and accompanying OEM specified Continental LX20 tires. These are a common wheel and tire combination on LT and LTZ Tahoes from the factory. The swap was handled by Billion Chevrolet and the BCM was reprogrammed for the new tire size, so the speedometer and odometer are 100% on the money. The wheels are all in good condition. Some minor curb rash may be present. There is also some light pitting of the clearcoat on the wheels, mostly around the valve stem covers. This is normal wear and tear. The original LX20 tires were replaced with a brand-new set in October of 2017. The LX20 is an excellent all-weather tire and offers a great combination of good mileage, low road noise, durability, and traction. I have driven three winters on the LX20s and there was no question that they were the right tire to buy when the originals needed replacement. If you have ever shopped or purchased retired police vehicles, they are commonly full of exterior holes for lightbars and antennae. Most also have either a post mount spotlight on the driver side or a hole where one was once installed. Since this vehicle was never in police service, none of these defects exist. When the Tahoe was about a year old, the rear bumper was scraped by another driver in a parking lot. The damage was very minor (about $800) and was repaired by my Chevrolet dealer’s body shop. Since that occurred, the Tahoe has received another light scrape in the same area, likely in a parking lot, by somebody who chose not to stick around. I have not had that scrape repaired. In examining the vehicle extremely closely, I have noticed a couple very small door dings, a rub mark on the right, rear fender, and a small chip in the paint on the trailing edge of the driver's door. These are all issues that I would consider pretty normal and I think that anybody who views this vehicle will agree that its condition is better than age and mileage would dictate. INTERIOR I ordered this Tahoe with all cloth seats and matching carpet (option code B30). Many police vehicles are ordered with a vinyl rear seat and/or a rubber flooring. The cloth and carpet looks much nicer and is much more comfortable. Also optioned were front bucket seats with the retail center console (option code A95). From the interior, the only thing that makes this Tahoe identifiable as a police package is the 150 MPH certified speedometer and the lack of a third-row seat. The provisions to install a third-row seat and seatbelts are still present and the seats are regularly available on eBay and other websites. The front bucket seats and large center console are a desirable upgrade from the 40/20/40 bench or worse and common to many police package vehicles, bucket seats only and no console. The center console has two cupholders, multiple storage areas, three car charger ports, the rear seat climate controls, and even a power inverter to plug in a regular wall outlet. Excellent for a cooler, laptop charger, or any other wall-plugged accessory. There are additional cupholders in the door pockets, rear pull-out armrest, and behind the rear seats. Electronic air temperature control is included in the police package Tahoe and has three zones: driver, passenger, and rear. There are climate control vents in the ceiling all the way to the rear so that all passengers can receive climate-controlled air. There are factory LED dome lights for each seat and the cargo area that can be controlled from the seat themselves as well as from a master in the overhead console. LED lights also illuminate the door handles. The police package Tahoe has a limited driver information center in the dash which can display digital readouts of speed, trip odometer, average mileage, engine hours, tire pressures, transmission temperature, and oil life remaining. The first and second row carpet has been protected throughout its life by WeatherTech floor mats (not included with sale - they're now in the 2018 Tahoe). There have been no major spills or issues with the carpet. The second row has been sat in perhaps twenty times since new. The cargo area has been protected by a large floor mat and regularly used to haul a variety of boxes, luggage, and other items. The cargo area has also been used to transport a large dog occasionally throughout its life and some residual pet hair may be present (it has been meticulously vacuumed). Police package Tahoes include the lower-level IO3 radio system. This system includes AM/FM radio, CD player, SD card slot, a USB port for iPod integration and USB charging, and a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack. Hands-free calling via Bluetooth is included, and works great, however media streaming over Bluetooth is not. The IO3 radio is a basic one, but works great. There are decent aftermarket headunit kits available as well as companies selling IO5+ upgrade kits. This Tahoe also features OnStar if you wish to have it activated. Navigation is available via OnStar turn-by-turn (e.g. no map or touch screen). Other included features are a backup camera and rear parking sensors. Both work great. As with the exterior, this vehicle is free from the screw holes and marks common with old police cars. There has never been any emergency equipment, prisoner cage, computer system, or other police equipment mounted in the interior. MECHANICAL AND OTHER FEATURES All Tahoes powered by a 5.3L V8 and six-speed automatic transmission. The PPV gets a lower, stiffer suspension and skid plates from the factory. A locking rear axle is also included (option code G80). This combination still handles and rides great, and the addition of the 20" wheel/tire combination softens it up to "just right" from the original steel wheels. The skid plates would be suited for off-road driving as they are for the intended curb-hopping. This PPV was optioned with four-wheel drive (true four-wheel drive with high and low range as well as automatic 4WD settings), a highly desirable option not available on PPVs prior to 2015. Rated mileage from Chevrolet is 16 MPG city, 22 MPG highway, and 18 MPG combined. I have meticulously documented mileage on the Tahoe since new and can report a lifetime fuel mileage of 18.4716 MPG. Documentation of all mileage and fueling is available with the vehicle. I have monitored mileage over extended periods of highway and city driving and believe that the ratings are all accurate. This Tahoe has been 100% adult driven and never abused. Factory recommended service has been completed as recommended by the maintenance minder in the driver information center and all service has been completed by a Chevrolet dealer. This vehicle includes two keyless entry remotes, which are both in working order. One remote was rarely used and is in like new condition, the other is working, but some of the symbols are worn and part of the plastic is chipped. This Tahoe has factory remote start (option code BTV), which is very uncommon on a PPV and remote start can also be used with the OnStar app on your smart phone. TERMS OF SALE This vehicle is sold as-is. The buyer will receive the vehicle, a clear title, signed over to them at the time of purchase, two keys and remotes, all original owner's manuals, all service and fuel records, original window sticker, and a written bill of sale. All other property in the vehicle will be removed at or before the time of sale and is not included. My license plates will be removed at the time of sale. You may legally drive the vehicle for thirty days in my state before it must be registered. I will not post-date or not date the title, so please do not ask. Payment must be made by cashier's check or another secured method of payment. I will meet with you, your designee, or a transport company to deliver within 50 miles of zip code 52720 at no charge. I will consider delivering outside of that radius on a case by case basis at a minimum charge of $1.50 per roundtrip mile. My insurance will be cancelled at the time of delivery and I refuse to be liable for the vehicle or new owner after the time of purchase. Because I have already purchased a new vehicle, I am NOT interested in trades, so please do not offer them. THE BOTTOM LINE This 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV is an excellent way to purchase a current body style Tahoe at an affordable price. The current body style offers a great number of upgrades and modernizations from the previous (2007-2014) body style and also look great. My Tahoe has been well cared for and is ready for its next owner and many more trouble-free miles. Every effort has been made to describe this vehicle in detail to avoid any potential surprise or disappointment for you or for me. As with any used vehicle, it is possible that there are other issues which are either not visible or have otherwise been overlooked. I encourage any prospective buyer to thoroughly examine the vehicle as well as to consider a pre-purchase inspection by a qualified mechanic. I will work with any serious prospective buyer to make the vehicle available for such an inspection. Photos include some overalls, details of each wheel, and details of each known defect.
