Vehicle Detail
Being offered with No Reserve is this 1993 Mazda Miata MX5 LE. The 93 LE is arguably one of the most distinctive and stylized limited edition series of Miata's ever produced. They only produced 1500 of these vehicles. And sadly today there are far fewer than that left on the road. This car looks and runs great. I acquired the vehicle in a trade. I was looking for a sporty daily driver to enjoy the South Florida sun in. But the car was (I think) too nice to leave outside in the weather. So it stays in the garage and basically only gets driven to local cruise-in cars and coffee events on weekends (just like the car I traded). The car always gets total props and often followed up by a story of the person's current or past love affair with their MX. This car has had several owners. Based on the condition of the car it looks like they all appreciated and took good care of the vehicle. The mileage as indicated is said to be correct. Although due to cars age its actual reading is exempt from registration. Current mileage is a little over 171,000. The car runs straight. The suspension and tires really give a great ride while maintaining flat sure-footed handling. Find yourself top down on a winding road and you will be having a good day. The car has a very predictable understeer. Although the car is equally enjoyable on a top-down highway road trip. The seats are firm and offer very good lumbar support. The gears shift smooth and tight. Synchros work as they should no grinding on downshift. No rust. Glass is in good shape. No play in steering wheel. No rips in leather or interior. The trunk is clean and rust free. Door seals are in good shape. I have a stack of service records ( still trying to locate but will include with sale). Due to how clean the engine and underside of the car is, a common sense visual inspection will show all the new bits. About $5K worth of maintenance and preventive care over the past few years. Most notably: New Top. New Paint. New shocks. (originals in included). New springs. New sway bar bushings. Brake service including a new caliper. Coils, Plugs, Fluids, Tires, new radio/CD with Aux audio in and USB (original included in sale) Recent replacement radiator. Recent replacement battery. Replaced door speakers. A/C cools ice cold as it should. Recently serviced/upgrade to r134. The list is long it includes most of the things it takes to keep a car of this age in this condition. The interior is in very good condition with no tears in the leather. Engine compartment well detailed. New right left front fender. ( due to parking lot fender bender ). Below are some general details about Mazda's MX5 LE. Description: 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata LE The Miata' s you may have already known, Have always been a very special car, being rated consistently in Car&Driver's 10 Best. In the spring of 1993, The Mazda created a very special and unique Miata, The 93 LE. This "LE" was a limited edition production car, with only 1500 sequence numbered LE's made for sale in the United States. Mazda took a fully loaded B package Miata (power mirrors, owner-assisted steering, leather-wrapped steering wheel, headrest speakers, cruise control, power windows) and added everything they could think of from a performance and cosmetic standpoint to create the LE. Color The most stunning feature of the LE is the Brilliant Black car lined with a deep red interior. The seats Don't of red leather, and the carpet and dash were also matched with the same color. The red carpet floor mats also have the embroidered "Miata" script. Aluminum Trim Aluminum trim and panels brought out the "retro look" that is making the trend in today's roadster market. The LE was truly designed ahead of its time. The speaker kick panels have a shape reminiscent of a Harley-Davidson gas tank or a 1957 Corvette door panel. The tweeter speaker is also mounted with an aluminum surround. The door sills are aluminum with the "Miata" script as well. Externally the LE is dressed in front air dam, rear lower skirt, and rear lip-type spoiler. This rounded out the subtle, yet aggressive sports stance of this car. The shift knob is wrapped in leather by Nardi. Mazda Performance Although the engine still is a 1.6L four-cylinder, The suspension received many upgrades as well. The springs were stiffer and coupled with factory-specification shock absorbents. This gave the LE a very "go-cart" feel, Many tend to change these out for a more civilized daily driver. Another highlight of the LE is the ultra-light forged aluminum BBS wheels. These 14" wheels weigh only 8.5# each, allowing the driver to benefit from the decreased unsprung weight. On unpredictable surfaces, The viscous-type limited-slip differential keeps torque on the wheel with friction. The anti-locking brake system (ABS) kept the tires gripped on the road during hard braking. NOTE: I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time.
