I bought my Jeep Cherokee three years ago and it has given me perfect reliability. I have driven it to Guyamas, Mexico twice and have made countless trips back and forth to Kansas from Oklahoma. The 4.0, straight 6 motor, ran perfectly until this Spring when, after an uneventful drive up to KS, it refused to start the next morning. The motor spins over as usual but it doesn't fire. I sprayed starting fluid in the injector but that had no affect. That ruled out the fuel pump. I changed out the TDC sensor. That had no affect. I bought a new, programmed computer on e-Bay and still nothing. I would check to see if it has spark but it has the newer style coil that covers the spark plugs. I am out of airspeed, altitude and ideas as far as what to try to get it running, again. I love the car and the engine ran perfectly, didn't leak oil and the transmission shifted perfectly. The AC worked great as did the heat. IF you know of a sensor that is keeping it from starting OR, if you need a great motor/transmission or rear end for your Cherokee, Comanche or CJ, this would be the car to salvage. 2/wheel drive, by the way. The body has no damage or rust except a scrape over the right rear wheel, the tires are fair - 16's. The interior is in overall good condition and I bought a brand new receiver hitch for her but never got it mounted. Also, limb recently fell in a storm and spider webbed the windshield. Clear title in my name.
