I've driven this for the past 100 miles. The Diesel engine runs great. Lots of torque and power. No smoke. No smells. No blow by at all. The oil cap doesn’t even shake when left loose on top of the fill neck. (driving video available) The transmission shifts perfectly, No puddles under truck, no oil consumption, no coolant consumption, never runs hot. The Coolant and oil levels remained the same after 100 miles of driving.... The Dash lights, Radio, heat, and climate control panel lighting works. Left power mirror works. Right exterior Mirror doesn't adjust with the power mirror switch. It can be adjusted manually by hand. The 4x4 all works, Low, high, 2wd, and locking hubs all fine. Wipers work (all speeds) wiper blades are old. A/c and heat work very well. Fan works (all speeds). Power windows, cruise, power door locks, map lights all working. Dome light not working. One Cigarette lighters socket loose. Cup holders work. Utility box doors all open and shut, they all lock and I have the key. Oil change next due at 217k according to windshield sticker. Full service due at 222k. No rust holes under the truck. Popping noise is heard sometimes over certain bumps during turning, possibly a tie rod end or ball joint or other front end component aging. I can't pull the wheels off and check the brakes or front end components because the truck won't fit on my lift. The company lettering was scraped off. There are some scratches in the paint on the doors of the cab. The Alignment is great, it doesn’t pull left or right. This Truck needs a professional cleaning. The Drivers seatbelt is dirty. The undercarriage has a clean rust free frame and only surface rust on some of the underside of the utility body at the seams. No holes. Solid truck. Brakes work great, no shaking. Power steering fine. No warning lights are lit on the dash. All gauges function. The front and rear differentials are quiet no strange noises. It ran fine when we purchased it and it runs fine now. The utility body has some light collision damage on the right front corner. Also the right rear of the utility body has some light collision damage. None of this effects the functionality of the utility body or the truck. It’s purely cosmetic. All compartments open, close, and lock as they should. When I purchased the truck the right rear door on the utility body was detached and the pivot point (hinge) was broken. We straightened the right rear of the utility body and re-installed the door. The damage to the rear utility box is what caused the salvage title. The insurance company decided to declare it totaled rather than repair the box. I simply straightened up the box a little and made it functional. During that collision No mechanical damage or suspension damage was done to this truck. I bought it and drove it home just the way it was. It was owned and in service by a large engineering firm when it was damaged. I have already completed the salvage inspection with the Maryland state police. I now have a rebuilt title in my company's name. That rebuilt title can be used to register the truck in any state except New York ( NY requires a further inspection in NY). The truck can be operated, titled, and registered as normal just the same as a clean title vehicle in any state. I can issue a 60 day temp tag to drive it home ($20 fee applies).
