Vehicle Detail
A very early (vin# 457, engine #528)1969 Sandcast CB750. This is an older, but good restoration, was displayed at the Rose City Motorcycle Museum for a period of time and has recently been brought back to life. It has new plugs/leads, carburetors rebuilt (but could still use some tuning) and new lithium battery installed, plus a period correct repo air box was also installed. There were 7,414 (worldwide) Sandcast bikes built by Honda in 1969, before they went to the cheaper the die cast method, and few of them remain. This bike is particularly rare as it's one of the 1st 1,000 CB750's ever built, as such typically commanded a premium over the other survivors. While an older restoration I would consider this a solid 9/10, there are a couple of non-1969 parts that would need to be changed to make it 100% period correct, those being the front fender (from a 1971 K1) and the gas tank cap (which I also believe is from a K1), there could be others, but those are the ones I can identify. The bike is located in the Bay Area and is registered in CA thru next April and I have a clear title. On Oct-21-18 at 17:32:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received a lot of interest and messages on my Sandcast and sorry that I have not responded to all. But to help everyone and to be as transparent about this bike I have added more pics, those include a shot inside the tank to show the ripples, (the tank was lined at some point in time), underside of the gauges and the on/off switch. For those wondering why I am selling this bike; I have 2 of them and don't need both, this is the older restoration, I am keeping the newer one. And finally I do have a clean title in hand. Than you for your interest in this bike.
