Vehicle Detail
The time has come for me to sell my E55. I’ve owned the car for almost 5 years, it has proven to be a very reliable car. I’m the 4th owner, it was originally purchased in Northern VA. The previous owners all resided in Northern VA and registered the car in the area. The car has been meticulously maintained at the Mercedes dealerships or reputable shops in the area. A good amount of the service records were given to me when I acquired the car and will be transferred to the next owner. The car is very solid and drives great. The exterior is in good overall condition for a car of this age. There are some minor dings and a few small scratches. There is some bubbling around part of one of the wheel arches which is common on this car. The paint on the passenger door on the driver side and part of the quarter panel looks like it was touched-up at one point. All the body parts on the car are original including the front grill which is coated black. The emblems on the rear trunk are coated with a product which can easily be removed to reveal the original chrome. The two-tone interior is in really good shape. The seats are near perfect, there is practically no wear on them. The wood trim is barely faded like most of the examples out there. There are a few small cracks on the upper part of the dash due to the heat. Everything on the inside functions with the exception of the two rear windows. The dealership told me that the rear windows require new regulators. The trip mileage part of the instrument cluster is intermittent. The A/C and heat work fine. The car has Bluetooth, I updated the head unit to a Kenwood not too long ago. Everything else works fine down to the rear sunshade which is a common fault on the W210 series. Mechanically the car is sound, it drives perfectly and there is absolutely no hesitation. My last service at Mercedes included an Mobil 1 oil change, coolant flush, and motor mounts. The service advisor at the time of this service told me the idler pulley is wearing and starting to make some noise. I purchased an OEM idler pulley, tensioner, and belt which will be included in the sale. Last month the spray coming from the washer nozzle got weak. There is apparently a hose that has come lose on the part of the hood which lifts up. I was told it’s an easy fix, but I have not got around to repairing it. Lastly, the passenger side fog light is currently working although it has been sporadic lately. It might turn on one day, but not the next. It causes an error light to display when the main lights are turned on at night. I have the two original keys for the car in addition to an updated master key used on the later models. All the original manuals and service records will be included. The original toolkit is in the trunk along with a full size AMG Monoblock wheel. I'm almost positive I still have the original two-tone mats out in garage, if I cannot find them I will be sure to update the listing. The current floor mats are genuine Mercedes and great for all seasons. This is a solid example which can easily make it to 300k if cared for and maintained. Don't miss out on an opportunity to own a car like this! Please feel free to ask me any questions. On Oct-17-18 at 06:40:22 PDT, seller added the following information: A few people asked me about the transmission fluid. The prior owner had it changed at Mercedes of Tyson’s Corner when the car had a little over 70k miles. I have the record for this service, the transmission shifts perfectly. He also had additional fluids flushed after he acquired the car. In addition to new brakes/rotors and Michelin Pilots all around. I since have replaced the tires with the same kind. The brakes and rotors are in good shape. Please feel free to ask additional questions.
