Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE- Meticulous frame off restoration performed in 1993. Only 4250 miles since. The car needs a new headliner. It has minor rust forming by the lower corners of the windshield, Only the cowl would need repainting for this repair. All stainless steel has been professionally polished. Interior is pristine except for headliner. Cruise Control, Keyless Entry, and a Modern Stereo have been added discretely. The transmission has a leak. The exterior main color was changed from surf green to larkspur blue for hopefully obvious reasons. On Oct-11-18 at 06:48:34 PDT, seller added the following information: I was recently informed by an Ebay watcher that the VIN of this car indicates that it was originally a 210. He did ad that the Bel Air upgrade was exact in every detail. When we bought the car, all the parts were already present. We simply meticulously restored the parts we had. Please be aware that the car does not have any of the original 210 trim.On Oct-12-18 at 17:32:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay folks. Seriously. This car is beautiful. It's really sad that some other guy on Ebay has been offered more for a 2001 Honda Accord. I'm sure that guy is thinking of buying it for his daughter to drive to high school. Maybe he should buy this. Imagine the heads turning when she pulls up to her boyfriend's 96 Dodge Caravan in an American icon. There is not one part of this car that you would have to apologize to any entity for. If you could see it in person, you would say it's worth 50K. Just saying. I built this car for my Dad. It means something to me. If you want more pictures, please let me know what you want to see. My dad regretted getting rid of this car in 1962 when he got married. I found the almost exact car, in Seattle, that he had to sell and he bought it for $2000. We restored it together and he treasured it for almost 25 years. Everything on this car is almost perfect. On Oct-12-18 at 17:48:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I have no idea why I don't see the buy it now option of $39,500, but It is an option. Please let me no if you want this beautiful car for a great price of $39,500. On Oct-17-18 at 19:39:17 PDT, seller added the following information: Many people have asked about the finishes on this car. All are DuPont. The bottom was finished with DuPont red oxide primer. The frame was finished with DuPont satin black epoxy. All suspension components were replaced with new neoprene and new brake components including cylinders. The upper body was finished with DuPont Centari Basecoat and ChromaClear. (8 Coats, plenty of sanding and buffing still available, but not needed.) I pulled the trigger on te gun, mixed the paint, and ran the sander and buffer. This car was restored properly for my father with the intention of it being passed down through his generations. It didn't work out the way we had hoped. I would love to keep it, but for the wrong reasons. I want this car to belong to someone who will appreciate the effort.Thirty years ago I would have paid 50K for the car I'm selling just due to the attention to detail. The person that gets this car will agree. Regardless, the last bid gets it and some other nice stuff. Please know that I'll pack her carefully and kiss her goodbye. The Myers family will miss her.
