Only one owner used and drove this 1998 C1500 2 wheel drive Fleetside Short Bed that is in Very Good Original Condition. The truck was a daily driver for the original owner who is my neighbor and a finish carpenter in South Florida. He purchased the truck new on 10/22/98 with 77 miles on the odometer, and drove it until last summer when he purchased a new van. I bought the truck and stored it in Florida until now having just moved it to my home in Ohio. The truck runs, drives, and is in top mechanical condition with 169,577 miles, and as mentioned it was his daily transportation for him to make a living. I bought the truck with the thoughts of a project build since it has never been wrecked, retains 100% of it's original sheet metal, has a straight frame in excellent condition, and I know the original owner who has taken very good care of the truck since new. Chevy Short Bed trucks like this are always desirable and in demand for project builds. If you are after a "barn find" or a truck with "patina" as talked about so often these days, this truck fits that description, only better. It was used as a daily driver so you will see average wear on the truck over the past 20 years of use. The seat as seen in the pictures is worn on the drivers side, the dash has some cracks from the Florida sun, and there are some dings and small dents on the body panels. The paint is all original except on the lower bed sides behind the wheels. It was repainted in that area due to stone chips when the step bumper was removed and replaced. The bed is in exceptional condition and has been covered with the cap since new, and the bed floor has always been covered with a clean sheet of plywood. There is a dent on the passenger side door that is an easy repair, and the cab corner on that side needs to be replaced. Both will be easy repairs no matter what you plan to do with this truck, or you can leave them alone and drive it as is. I have a copy of the original title and a clear Ohio title to the truck in my name. My reason for selling the truck is because I have too many vehicles and need to thin down my collection and list of projects. The truck is For Sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. This is a No Reserve auction. I will be happy to answer any questions from qualified and interested bidders.
