Used 1996 Mercedes Benz S420 for sale. You are invited to come look at it before bidding, just send a note via eBay messaging and I will work with you to make that happen. As for now, the car decided it did not want to start. The lights come on, but the engine's starter won't crank. I am not a mechanic. Thus, it must be towed away off my property. No disassembling car on my property. It can easily be rolled into the street and connected to a car dolly or wrecker. Otherwise a winch will be needed to put it on a trailer. I suspect the Ignition block. The key turns, all lights and windows work, but nothing when turning the key to the "crank" position. Battery fully charged with 70A booster connected, nothing. The car acts like it is in lockout mode, however, I shut all the doors and windows, locked from the outside with the master key and unlocked it, still no crank on the starter - not a peep. Likewise if you have an offer above the current bid, message me and I can change the auction to buy it now. Blower does not work, however, I had no problem defrosting the windows/windshield last winter. Column mounted cruise control is wonky. I have a replacement that has not been installed yet, and will include it with the car. Some of interior trim came loose on the drivers door so I removed it and left it in the car. The Sunroof retracts about 3/4 back (nearly all way back), but otherwise works. I took high resolution pictures so you may see exactly what it looks like, including the drivers door trim as it is now. Car is currently registered and tagged. The title is clear. Smoking has never been allowed in it since I have owned it and it does not smell of smoke.The interior is good shape with no defects. \Engine and transmission work good. No leaks, no smoke. The tires are good. The ride is nice, when it started. All the windows work. All windows are factory tinted double glass insulated windows. The car is a good project for a Mercedes mechanic. I put a new drivers side - side mirror on it...it resets by hand. The last photo was taken right after I washed it and then it got rained on. The engine ran fine and the 4 speed w/overdrive transmission works as it should. - if it starts. No crank on key. A new window regulator was installed in the rear driver side door.
