Vehicle Detail

I had always wanted this car since the day I first saw one on the road; finally purchased this example about 2 1/2 years ago after looking for over a year for a very clean example. If you know these cars, you know that 99/100 of them have cracks in the door panels just about halfway along the door cap by the window. NOT this car! This example is as close to new as you can get. It's had meticulous care all of its life, including its underside. The color is rare, and looks like a sunset, literally. Ram Air is a treat and this car has an SLP box, which is supposed to add a horse or two. But at 320 hp in original configuration, it's already got enough. The growl from the motor is intoxicating through that wonderful SweetThunder exhaust. The Hurst shifter is amazing, and the gear ratios are just right for anything you want to do. This is so much car for a reasonable price. The car has under 17,000 original documented miles. That's not the lowest mileage you can find, if you want to buy a nearly undriven example you can, but you'll encounter all the attendant problems resulting from lack of movement. This car was used to drive the West Coast to Monterey Classic Car week twice, in 2017 and this year, and then for a couple of tours locally. It's had semi-regular exercise and been serviced even when it didn't need it. New battery, tires are new since I purchased the car (I replaced them). T-tops are wonderful. A convertible without the problems of the soft top! The car does have tint on the windows, which at the corners of the door windows is bubbling. I couldn't get a photo to show this. I find it hard to see out of the car at dusk so a buyer might think about removing it. The car picked up a tiny nick on the headlight door this last trip to Monterey. I couldn't get a photo of that either, it just won't show up. The other thing I love about this car is the seating. I have a bad back and this thing is a wonder. I drove straight back 12 hours from Monterey in 2017, no problems. The seats have adjustable bolsters, sides and back. Change it on the fly and ease your back. Speaking of which, every single electrical item works... nothing doesn't work, including the clock. The only reason I am parting with this car is that I bought a 1989 Mercedes 560SL which has attached itself like a leech to my wallet. I am hoping the Merc will be my long distance car, but it's got tough competition against this car. I can send more photos on request. Dog not included. Also note that the default eBay listing preview page shows that I accept Visa, Mastercard, etc for full payment for the car; that is not true. Cash, cashiers check, wired funds, and so forth are fine, no credit. A deposit of $1000 must be made within 24 hours of auction close, via paypal. Thanks for looking.
