Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my beloved FJ55 Land Cruiser affectionately known amongst Cruiser enthusiasts as the "Iron Pig" because of its interesting looks. I bought the cruiser several years ago and had all rust on the body cut out and new metal welded in. As you can see, it has a beautiful paintjob which was done by a gentleman who specialized in cruiser body repair and paint. It is a beautiful job. I replaced many of the parts on the exterior with new products, as one can see. Nearly 10K was spent on redoing the exterior. The mileage is low--odometer reads 23926 (actual miles 123926.) The vehicle runs and drives very nicely. It always starts right up easily. It has been taken care of by a Land Cruiser specialist who has kept it running very well. Carburator was rebuilt to perfection by a land cruiser specialist and new tune up was done. Many new parts. The rear window components including the motor were replaced/refurbished and the window goes up and down well. The BF Goodrich tires have only a few hundred miles on them and look and are nice. interior has yet to be finished. It has the front seat completely redone--quite nice. The back seat should be recovered. To be really nice, it needs a headliner installed. The floors have some surface rust but are solid. It needs a radio. It has a nice dash cover. All in all, from the outside, it looks like a new car and I get tons of comments wherever I go with it. It is a reliable driver. The reserve price is quite low. I cannot call it totally restored as the interior has yet to be finished. It has the front seat completely redone--quite nice. The back seat should be recovered.
