I had always wanted an SVX, but could not afford one when they were new, so I finally purchased this car used as an object of desire. However, in the end, I could not bring myself to drive it in the harsh conditions where I live (gravel roads, salt in the winter, etc.) so I parked in the garage 15 years ago and have only taken it out for a spin a couple of times each summer. It is in near-perfect condition. It drives great. Everything works - all the electrics, everything. There is a dime-size ding just below the left outside mirror (with no disruption to the paint) and a similar-size ding on the hood with a little cracking in the paint. The clear plastic headlight and grill covers are slightly sunburned but can easily be brought back to clear.The interior is in, likewise, almost perfect condition, carpets, leather seats, suede interior are in great shape - no tears or stains. I replaced the front seal right after I bought the car, but there is a still a slight oil leak (a few drops after each drive), which I believe is seeping from the rubber washers on the valve cover bolts. It handles great and the engine is strong, no problems in the snow or on our mountain roads - it is a Subaru, after all. This car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of ItalDesign with the signature split side windows. If you are interested in collecting Subarus, this unique model is a great addition and this vehicle would need minimal work to bring it to showroom condition.
