Vehicle Detail

Hi, I am selling my 1979 MG MGB convertible. I bought this car about 5 years ago from a local owner. Unfortunately, I don't have much history on the vehicle. It has only been driven in the summer since I've owned it, and I've put about 2000 miles on it. Recent work includes a tune up, oil change, coolant system flush, brakes (2 yrs ago), some minor electrical repairs. It has an aftermarket radio in it. I would say the condition is "good" in that it starts and runs fine (idle is a bit rough, probably needs a timing adjustment) and the body there isn't any rust through any where. There is a crack in the paint on the rear side of the deck lid (driver's side - photo attached) and 3 cracks in the paint on the hood from it not being closed properly. It is a great car for daily driving or a weekend "play car" but is not "restored." The seats are covered in Moss form-fitting seat covers (the driver's seat under the cover is in rough shape) and the interior panels could be replaced. I replaced the center console cover, shift boot, and shift knob when I bought it. The only reason I'm selling this car is that I don't have room for it - I just bought a newer Mercedes convertible and we have 4 other cars beyond that. If I had room for storage, I'd keep it. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like more photos. I am going to try to attach a video of the engine running. **UPDATE: Yes, I am open to offers. Thank you. Video: https://vimeo.com/282352093On Aug-12-18 at 15:00:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 2: Someone asked if they would be able to drive the car home. Here is my answer (I thought it would show on the auction: I'd say it depends on how far away you are. I am in Monroe, Michigan (48161). I routinely drive it to the movie theater we like (~80 miles round trip) and I've taken it down to Toledo plenty of times (~60 mile round trip) but I've never driven it on a **long distance** trip. The radiator fans run fine, the temp is always in range, and as long as you checked your fluids when you gas up, I would be pretty confident you'd be fine. I keep spare brake/clutch fluid, oil and coolant in the trunk, and I have a box of misc. pieces/parts I'm going to send with it - so you won't have room for a passenger more than likely. But... it is almost 40 years old so while I have no reason to think you'd have trouble, I would keep your AAA card on you to be safe.
