Vehicle Detail

Before bidding please read details, as this is a nearly 60 year old car, but does run. I will try to list some of the details and pros/cons below. This car is the very definition of a barn find. It was found parked in a barn in Oregon a few years back showing about 97,000 original miles. Although it had been parked for awhile, there were some rust issues, mainly a spot under the driver's foot that had been rusted through as well as some issues in the trunk. Those issues have since been fixed with brand new steel being put in its place, and a bedliner being painted over the surface as well. In the interior, new carpet was laid down (with a small visible hole on the driver's side to access the factory brake fluid reservoir). The car has also since been painted in the two-tone seen in the pictures, although the white was rolled and will need to be addressed at some point in the future. The car has since been stored in the desert and is 99% rust free. Some Cons:There are a few minor dents (as you'd expect on a car of this age) I tried to capture in the picture. The biggest of which is on the drivers front fender. The passenger door also has some damage on the lower panel which is hard to see on camera, but would need to be addressed before this could be a "show car." The drivers side window is slightly off track and only rolls up about 95%. But that should be an easy fix. There is a small chip in the windshield, and the headliner (shown in pictures) is a temporary makeshift fix. Lastly, the master brake cylinder needs to be installed before this would be safe to driver without running over a prius like a tank over a sunflower. But the good news is the master brake cylinder is brand new in the box and comes with the car (shown in pictures). Some Pros:This nearly 60 year old car actually starts and runs. I used the old gas can feeder trick to start it up, but without working brakes I never actually drove it out of the driveway. There are fewer miles on this car then most 4-5 year old cars. It has a working straight 6 engine (shown in pictures) and a "three on the tree" transmission. After the addition of the new steel and bedliner, there are no visible rust issues, and after laying the brand new carpet, the interior looks incredible for a car of this age with very minimal issues on the seats. The headliner is the only interior issue I would be concerned with long term if keeping the car. I doubt this car will ever win any races, but a neighbor of mine who is in the VFW wanted to use it in parades. Its extremely rare, and the odds of ever seeing another one outside of a car show is slim. It has a legal Oregon title. Extremely low starting bid and now reserve! Thanks for looking.
