Did some work on it last night: took all the wheels off, inspected the brake pads - all look good. Rotors are all clean, one has a very small groove. Runs and shifts well. Brakes squeal when they get hot with moderate pressure, very annoying that I can't figure out why. Light pressure or very hard braking and they don't squeal. I've made 3 small videos. Send me a message with your number or email address and I will send them to you.Clutch is great. I can't find the receipt, but it's been done in the last year. We can call the shop if below if you like. Clutch was advertised as a stage 1 1/2, highest hp rating with stock feel. Rated for 375 hp. I've not raised the boost pressure on the car, but you could. These motors are forged, and well known for their ability to take high boost. VR4 Spyder that needs paint and top work. Lots of first class parts:1. HRE 547 3 piece forged wheels with Michelin Pilots2. Big brake kit - Stillen (AP) 6 piston calipers and oversized rotors3. Borla exhaust4. Double din touchscreen stereo with 2 amps, and 2 10" subs in custom installed in rear seat walls. Stereo turns on, but will need reconnecting of amps when the top is open.5. New clutch and timing belt installed this year by Hardcore Automotive in Stuart Fl Top doesn't work but can be fixed - jns top link converter included http://jns.jimnshar.com/id18.htmStereo is disconnected until access to the trunk. 2Car obviously needs paint or a wrap. Here's my response and best explanation:The top is part hydraulic, part electric. One of the electric switches is stuck, keeping the rear deck from opening. If I could pay to fix it, I would have it done. Unfortunately, very few people work on this top. Because the car is more than 10 years old, Mitsubishi is not obligated to have repair available for it.It worked this spring.I'm actively looking for someone to work on it. If you know someone who is an expert on this top I will gladly pay them for their services.I have a painter ready to paint the car for under $1K. I need the top fixed first though.Thanks,Dave
