Up for sale is my 1974 VW Westy with an original Esson Westfalia trailer and the original drive-away tent. I bought it four years ago and have been slowly restoring it. The engine was professionally rebuilt by GEX in Boonville, AR with upgraded hydraulic lifters and has been driven less than 1000 miles. I just added up the receipts that I saved (lots are missing) and the total of new parts since 2014 is over $5,000.00. The engine cost $3,000.00 and the trailer was $2,000.00. Some of the things done recently are new brakes & brake lines, New Master cylinder & booster, New steering box, new ball joints, New axles, new high torque starter, new shocks, new rubber mats and kick panels, re-upholstered front seats in original fabric. I have a new (not installed) pop-up fabric. I have all the body pieces (not installed) to replace the rusted areas. I have boxes and boxes of new and original parts (including the original dual carburetors) I have not bought the windshield and seals yet. The bus is mechanically 99% perfect. All that's needed is to weld on the body panels and paint it.Clear title in my name for the bus. It is an "unfinished project" of a 44 year old vehicle. The motor & chassis is done and it runs like new and is a daily driver but the bodywork and interior refurb still need finishing.
