This is one very well maintained classic Mercedes Benz Roadster. I still drive it regularly and have detailed receipts going back to 1994 and original maintenance booklet with entries going back to first oil change on 6/14/1985. Have all original manuals, books, warranty book, etc. Owned since 2001 and have receipts showing thousands in maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. The car is solid with no rust spots on body, it is built like a Panzer tank, and the engine is legendary Mercedes bullet proof quality runs wonderful with no smoke or engine noise. Car is listed with NO RESERVE! These have been going up in value last year or so and I have decided its finally time for others to enjoy this beautiful Roadster. Bid well and GOOD LUCK!! No Reserve!! ** Overall VERY GOOD condition.** Mechanically EXCELLENT condition, runs and drives GREAT, newly serviced including new fuel injectors, new throttle linkage bushings, new engine management module, fuel mixture and idle reset, new brakes, new sway bar links. Engine rebuilt in 2001 with heads resurfaced, valve guides replaced, timing chain and guides replaced, etc - have detailed receipts for all this and more going back to 1994. Have original maintenance booklet with entries going back to 6/14/1985.** Interior GOOD condition. Leather looks nice front and back, no rips or tears, normal wear on seat bottoms have nice seat bottom covers, burled walnut dash and shift handle look good, original dash looks good just one small crack. Power windows and power door locks work as they should.** Exterior is VERY GOOD PLUS condition, zero rust zero dents in body, Paint sparkles nicely, Chrome is bright, Wheels were just refinished, no broken tines in grille, New front turn signal modules. There are many nice photos and four videos taken today showing actual current condition. Please look carefully at the photos and videos and feel free to ask questions. I would prefer a local sale because seeing and driving the car is very fantastic and it is very impressive in person. Because values are increasing and this car hass great maintenance and records to prove it, it's likely to be a good investment or anyone at a very affordable price. Hagerty values this car at $12,800 in good condition and NADA Blue Book values are even higher. Some dealers are selling these cars from $15,000 to $25,000 and more but nice running examples like this one can still be well-bought for $7,000 to $10,000. So why not just answer for everyone! :-) #1>> Yes! there is no rust on the body. I encourage you to watch the videos, you can see clearly that there is no rust in the walk around video, and in the photo that shows the edge of the spare tire you can see the area is totally rust free and clean. #2>> Yes! It has double timing chain. In fact, the engine has been rebuilt and timing chain replaced (you will get the receipts to prove it). My fiancee drove the car up near Elkhart Lake Wisconsin and showed it to a collector up there. It ran great for the 100+ mile trip, mostly at 70-80 mph on the highway. No noise, no smoke, no stalling...She described it as "well balanced and well sorted" (She was a BMW driving instructor at Road America). This collector has made an offer and I have until the weekend to accept it so happy bidding and I'm sure the buyer wiLL enJoy her as much as we have!
