This is a true no reserve auction, if you have a low feedback score or no feed back we will remove your bid. This corvette will be sold as is and where it is to the high bidder. Please be prepared to immediately place a $500 deposit through PayPal within 4 hours after winning the auction. Do not ask what the buy it now price is. There isn't one. Bid to win. The corvette was restored... many years ago, there is some cracking in the fiber glass near the headlights. The paint has tiny bubbles all over. A few larger bubbles as well. There are scratches on the paint and pitting on the chrome. The engine is running on 7 cylinders instead of 8. It has older wires and plugs, the misfire is likely causes by a bad wire or foweled spark plug. Internally the engine sounds good, no smoke and no strange noises. The headlights won't flip open. Left turn signal doesn't flash when turned on. There may be other lighting issues or other non functioning items. Some of the gauges don't work. The odometer doesn't record, the speedometer works. The windshield wiper switch is an aftermarket toggle switch, factory wiper controls are not functioning. The undercarriage looks very solid. I saw surface rust but no rot. Nice solid frame. This car would be a good candidate for a high end restoration because it has a solid foundation. The brake booster is not hooked to a vacuum supply, so no power brakes. The vacuum advance hose that goes to the distributor to advance the ignition timing is not there, so the engine doesn't make full power. The brakes stopped fine for me, but I only drove it 10 miles and I was gentile. The car drives straight does not pull left or right under easy driving conditions, but under hard braking It pulls slightly left. The steering feels good, tight, and accurate. When accelerating hard there is a thump felt in the rear of the car. Maybe a failing bushing at the rear differential? The gear shifter and clutch feel good and are easy to use. Clutch is solid and does not slip. The gears are easy to find, they all work, there is no play in the shifter. The belts and hoses on the engine look old and should be replaced. In my estamate this car could be made into a nice driver with 3k or less spent on going over the car. The interior is fair, looks like it's all there. It's comfortable to drive but it's an old car so it's nothing like today's modern vehicles, it takes time getting use to, it requires some physical effort to drive. I do not recommend operating this car on the road untill you have a mechanic go over the brakes, front end components, tires, hoses and other safety related components. The rear convertible top window is plastic, it is faded and has a 1/2 inch hole on the right side. The tires are mismatched, the radio antenna is missing. The coolant and is green and at the proper level. The oil is dirty and one quart low. The car has been sitting for a few months, I charged the batterie and it started easily. The batterie worked fine for the rest of the day, not sure how good it will be after sitting a few days. It may need a new batterie. I personally would not advise driving this vehicle a long distance before having it serviced. Shipping is fairly cheap these days. The vehicle is located on a farm in a garage near the Hartford county and Baltimore county line in Maryland zip code 21087. This car Is titled in my company name as shown on the actual title pictured. The car will be sold as not actual mileage because the odometer doesn't function. I am not aware of weather or not this car is original, I don't know what drivetrain it is equipt with nor what it came with from the factory. It is strictly as it is. All proceeds will be transferred to the family of my late great friend and investor who holds financial interest in this vehicle and many other classic and collectible cars.
