Vehicle Detail

Hey there Chevy Drivers! Thank you for your interest in my vehicle listing! As I previous mentioned in my "condition listing" before I ran out of characters...This 2000 S-10 ZR2 Model has been gently used as a back-and-forth to work vehicle. Driving to my military base was only 6 mi. one-way...It has only taken a couple road-trips out of state to Montgomery, AL to attend classes. Yes, I am the "original-owner" I purchased the truck in the Fall of 1999 from a great Chevy Dealer in Panama City, FL. Upon purchasing the vehicle it had only 9 mi on the Odometer! Since then, over the years it has been a very reliable truck! I have hauled my dirt bikes and quads, and to mention athletic supplies for my involment in the local Special Olympic Events! I added a few mods over the years...To start, I put a pair of bucket-seat covers on the seats from Pep-Boys! They are still installed and have protected the bucket-seats over the past 18 yrs! Next, I added a "Bed-Rug" to the Bed, Black-Carpet Style, and has been "very" resilient over the years! Next, I added "Westin" Rhino-Bar on the front, complete with a pair KC Lights, that are still fully-functional the bush protective covers still fit but have faded a bit...I also put some lower door step-guards on both the driver doors...Next I installed rain-guards over the driver & passenger door window...During Hurricane Ivan in 2004, I had the truck covered with a custom-fit cover, but the wind caused a slight wear area on the Chasis below the passenger door, also a chunk of the passenger rain-guard was broken, but not too bad for a Cat 3, that "kicked my butt!" More details...and additional pics are on the way! Have a great weekend! On Jun-04-18 at 12:18:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello again! To continue with my description...Please be it known, I just want to provide the most accurate condition/detailed description as possible to each viewer and watcher, and potential buyer, so their will be no surprises or disgruntle type issues after the auction is won! To continue with the other accessories I have added are as follows: I installed a mini hood-bra that covers approx. 8" up along the hood length, it has done its job in preventing chips and nicks, but it is starting to show its age after being installed for several years! On the extended cab "extend-out" side windows, I installed a pair of "Lund" window louvers on the driver and passenger side. They are a dark-smoke color similar to the rain-guards. Next I installed a black-plastic tailgate top-edge gaurd along the top of the tailgate, it really helped protect the tailgate top when I was hauling lumber, PVC and large sports equipment! It is still in good condition, the 2-way tape on the drivers side has lost its adhesive and tends to lift up in this area. Just a little extra heavy-duty 2-way tape is a quick fix for this issue. As far as the tail-lights, I installed a pair of black plastic Chevy "Bowtie" Logo Covers, still in good condition, holding tight, but some weathering and fading can be seen. Next, I installed an LED Light Bar between the rear bumper and lower tail-gate edge...it looks good, and functions when the headlights are on, brakes are applied and when using the turn-signals. And to mention...the tow package includes the insert with pin and attached 2" hitch ball. Being that the truck is 18 years old, I do consider it to be in overall very good condition! A lot of TLC over the years has helped maintain its looks and integrity! But with any vehicle over time, wear-n-tear, weathering, and corrosion is inevitable...and with this truck it has its share, but nothing real serious...Going bumper to bumper here is was I saw as I throughly looked over the truck yesterday...each of the front tow-hooks have corrosion on them, mainly surface rust, that a little wire-brushing and some black rustoleum would make it a quick-fix. The engine compartment has some corrosion through-out on various steel/alloy and aluminum components. I have tried to keep the engine area clean over the years, and doing so has kept it looking pretty decent! There is rust "hole" n the hood, drivers side front, about as big as a "nickel" that started as a surface corrosion "bubble" that eventually wore thru, but only the top metal layer, a "little bondo or tiger hair, primer & paint would be a quick remedy for this issue...The Chasis/frame is still in solid condition, it has never been "bent, straightened or in any accidents...some surface corrosion can be seen in several areas where the paint or undercoating has wore off. The truck wheel-well plastic flares were once a nice black gold metal flake finish! But over the years the Florida sun has faded them to,a gray color primarily on the top-side that takes the direct sunlight. I'm not sure if some "Renew" or some type of black plastic restoring compound could bring back some of original look or not? Overall, as far as the truck hood, cab, doors, bed sides, and tailgate they all have there share of some light to medium scratches...and on the driver's side door there is a small ding from someone parking too close and hitting my door! All the door hinges are in good working order, some corrosion can be seen, but I have kept them periodically lubed. The tailgate raises and lowers with no issues. The tailgate cables were replaced in 2006, due to a GM recall, with a follow-up inspection in 2008. Currently, the cables are in great condition, and functioning fine! As far as the paint on the vehicle, it's all original factory finish and graphics...some fading evident, primarily on the cab roof, and hood scoops. Pls note: I have had the truck detailed w/ clay-bar several times over the years, which has definitely helped preserve the finish! As for the interior...it is Clean! Almost as clean as the day I made the purchase! The carpet is in very good condition, no stains, rips or holes. The front drivers and passenger sides still have the "original" GM floor mats, with nice red and black "Chevy Racing" floor mats on top of them! The rear cab has after-market GM floor mats. The headliner is in great condition, no tears, rips or hang-downs. The dash is in good condition...even though I use "window-screens" when parked to keep the sun of the dash, the center defrost plastic-grille did develop cracks and some of the slats broke...I have saved most of the pieces in a ziplock, a little gorilla or super glue is all it needs. The center console, dash, glove box all looking good and in tact. All instumentation, factory security system, horn, cruise-control, and FWD select buttons, are still functioning and operating. The seat belts are in tact and in good condition, some fading and discoloration can be seen. The manual sliding rear-window is still functional, it is a little hard to slide due to the weathering of the seal. The window still latches, but it's not a tight fit, I have used a piece of duct tape at times to hold the latch down tight. As far as maintenance records and accessories...the truck was serviced at the majority of the service mileage recommendations at a certified GM Dealer/Servie Center to maintain the OEM and extended warranty I purchased. Currently all warranty's have expired. I have kept great maintainance records over the years...documented in the owners manual. Plus have kept a good portion of the maintenance receipts as proof. Pls note: other than the dealer oil changes, I have always used Castrol Syntec 10W-30 Synthetic oil and a quality oil filter at every oil change. This vehicle was last serviced in Oct '17, it comprised of an oil/filter change, serpentine belt was replaced, tire rotation (Current tires are Yokahoma Geolanders, approx. 3.5 years old with plenty of good tread available! The alloy rims are the original GM rims that came with the truck, they have been rock-solid over the years, but do show weathering and discoloration. The spare..."original Bridgestone" that came with the truck, never been used...I have kept it inflated, but I'm sure some dry-rotting has set in!) The door hinges were lubed, all fluids checked and topped off. Radiator was pressure checked for leaks (no leaks found) a clamp on the muffler was tightened, but since then has come loose again, and the rear-view mirror was re-glued to the windshield. The mirror recently once again came unglued as the temps got into the 90's here on the Florida Panhandle! At the time of this service the mileage was 87,471 as of today the mileage is: 87,560, so over the past 7 months I have put less than 100 miles on the vehicle! The accessories include: original owners manual, OEM Tire Change Kit, hitch assembly, and the "original" window-decal that was on this truck at the dealership! I plan to take a photo of it and add it to the pics! My apologies for this lengthy description, but it's imperative that you the potential buyer get the most accurate and sight-picture of this vehicle's condition and worthy attributes! If you have any questions or concerns, pls don't hesitate to msg me! I will gladly assist each and every question! (Pls Note: If you have currently placed a bid on this vehicle, and after reading my additional description a looked at the added photos, and wish to retract your bid, that is perfectly ok with me! Also, at the close of this auction, "congrats to the lucky-buyer" but be advised..."All Sales are Final! No Returns, No Refunds!" Thank you for your Time and Happy Bidding! On Jun-05-18 at 20:35:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Hey there folks! Bill here with another update for this listing...just trying to be honest and as fully disclosed on my vehicle as possible! To begin, I noticed a little "snafu" at the bottom of the above standard template specifics...the block that says "right-hand drive", I thought I selected "Left-Hand Drive?" But anyway, this vehicle is a standard LH Drive Vehicle...as most of you viewers and watchers and bidders know this...but just wanted to make the correction! Also, in my last update, I went thru a whole series of extra accessories I have installed, and I forgot to mention the driver and passenger door "vinyl edge-guards" I have replaced them several times over the years, but they "do work" to protect from chips and nicks and those nasty shopping carts! Also, as I mentioned in my previous update talking about the last servicing I had done on the truck on Halloween of last year...I forgot to mention a new set of wiper-blades were installed plus a new radiator cap. Today, I was just doing a second-take on the cab interior just to make sure I didn't miss anything, and I noticed on the radio/CD Console...the "little" push-in to hide, and push-in to adjust knob for the treble, bass and balance...well the little black plastic knob for the "bass" is missing? The metal stem is still there, but the outer knob I believe cracked on me and came off, no big issue, they can be purchased or ordered from a GM Dealer. Also, I noticed the mirrors on the driver and passenger doors were a bit out of adjustment, so I started making the adjustments on the power-mirror 4-way pad on the drivers door and I noticed the mirror up, down, inward, and outward buttons were not as responsive as they use to be? I very rarely messed with the mirror adjustments, so I think from not being used the contacts in the switch may be dirty or corroded? A little electrical "contact cleaner" would probably be the fix here, but a little work is involved, since you would have to remove the driver's side door panel...not a big job, but it would take an hour or so to do. Ok...well that's it for my 2nd update, I think I have covered it all, hopefully...Just a reminder: There are only 3-Days left on this awesome auction! So pls, if you have any questions concerning this vehicle that may make you a little hesitant to place a bid? Just let me know, and I will do my best to,answer your concerns! Thanks and have a great evening! On Jun-07-18 at 19:15:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Hey there folks! Bill again with my 3rd and final description update! First, I would like mention that I added my last of the 24 photo's...The final pic is of the "Original Window Sticker" that was on the truck the day I made the purchase from the Chevy dealer back in 1999! I do apologize for some of the pics being inverted and on their side...I did upload all pics right-side up but the system realigned a few. And since the additional pics were added after the ZR-2 was listed no editing functions are enabled? But anyway you get the "picture!" I did manage to inspect the exhaust system for the loose clamp I mentioned earlier I thought had loosened up and was rattling during idle...Well, I did not see any loose clamps, bands or hangers. What I found was one of inner-baffles in the catalyletic converter is loose and making the rattling sound. The rattling is intermittent and not constant at idle speed. The entire exhaust system is "all-original and has been "rock-solid" over the past 18 yrs, so, I can't really complain about a little noise in the c-converter... I also forgot to mention during my last update, that the "windshield washers" are not the stock version, I replaced them with silver-skulls that have "blue-eyes" that illuminate with a toggle switch in the cab. To reiterate, this 2000 S-10 ZR-2 Insta-Trac 4WD has a Vortec 4300 6 cyl SFI engine with a 4-Speed Automatic Transmission. The actual color is light pewter metallic, I originally put "beige" in the color block, and the interior color is a "graphite-deluxe cloth" color scheme. Ok...that should be it! If you have any questions? Pls msg me! And yes, pls look over the pic of the "window-sticker" it tells the tale of this awesome truck!
