Vehicle Detail
A beautiful very rare 1976 Jaguar XJ6C "Coupe". Purchased brand new in Georgia and has always stayed in Georgia so no outside rust from northern road sand and salt. This classic vehicle was purchased by the 2nd owner in 1985 and has always been maintained and garage kept. After owning and enjoying this beautiful classic Jaguar Coupe for the last 33 years it is now offered for sale. Vehicle runs and drives fine. It has very stately navy blue paint with all chrome very shiny giving this Jaguar a classic look that is sure to turn heads as you drive by. Overall this Jaguar is in very good condition. The Jaguar signature 4.2-liter DOHC six-cylinder original engine runs great with no smoke or leaks. The original Borg Warner 3-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly. Present owner has spent over $9000 in reconditioning this vehicle. Brand new front Rack and Pinion steering. Completely redone power disk braking system with brand new front and rear brake rotors, calipers, and pads. Beautiful new headliner. The unique twin gas tanks have been pulled, cleaned, and internally resealed. The walnut wood interior trim is in very good condition. Of all the 1970’s Jaguar cars, the XJ6C is one of the most rare with only 6,505 cars built in its limited run from 1975-1977. All came with a vinyl roofs, and a good example is very hard to find. The XJ coupes have become very sought after cars by classic car collectors. The XJ6C is a perfect example of the British idea of the Gentleman’s Express offering Jaguar’s famously stated attributes of “Grace, Space and Pace.” The XJ-6 was the last Jaguar designed by company founder William Lyons, and it was a fine balance of refinement, luxury, and performance. Own a great rare example of Jaguar luxury and performance.
