Vehicle Detail
2001 BMW 750iL for sale. Pristine condition 44K miles. Believed to be a one-of-one with Hell Red paint from the factory. This car is absolutely stunning in person. I believe I am the third owner. I believe this car was originally in Honolulu with first owner, Southern California with second owner, and in Michigan with me. This car has just been used in the summer since I have owned it. If you know E38 BMWs, this will not disappoint. If you have never driven a V-12, this will put a smile on your face. The car has about every option available. The original cell phone is in the car. Everything works. Features: 5.4L V-12, 326HP @ 5,000 RPM, 361 ft/lbs torque @ 3,900 RPM 5-Speed Transmission with Sport and Manual Shift 155 MPH Top Speed 13 City/20 Highway - I average 17 mpg in a typical summer Multi CD changer in trunk Navigation - I love it, reminds me of my youth, very old school tech Heated / Power Seats front and rear Heated / Power Steering Wheel Sunroof Tan leather interior 20 inch BBS Wheels with BMW specs for alignment tooling Michelins Full Disclosure Section: Paint - All original, never been through automatic car wash since I've owned it. A few rock chips on hood. The front passenger door was deliberately keyed by someone with BMW envy I guess. After the anger period passed, I had it repaired and it is as new, but it needs to be disclosed. I had the front bumper replaced and paint matched too, as it developed a crack after getting hit by a rock or other debris. Engine - All original, no modifications. Transmission - All original, no modifications. Shifts like new. Electrical - I had the digital portion of the IP replaced, as those who know BMW of this era, the pixels started to go out. All pixels work as new. Windows - This car has the double pane layered glass in all 4 doors. There are no bubbles or chips. They are perfect. Wheels and tires - Again, full disclosure: The front wheels had been bent and straightened by the previous owner. I had right front wheel straightened in 2017 due to pothole encounter. There is still some vibration, and they need to be replaced. These BBS wheels came with the car but are now obsolete. I have not been able to find them anywhere. In my opinion, the 20 inch wheels look fantastic and the stance of the car is impressive. The practical side of me says an 18 or 19 inch BMW M style wheel would be a better overall choice with just a little extra side wall height. I hope the above information is helpful. As a car enthusiast who has bought and sold several cars, I feel the prospective buyer needs to know all the facts. This is a special car, and I've tried to keep it like a time capsule. It is very fun to drive. I have a few more pics in a zipfile that I can send if serious about the car. Thanks for reading!UPDATES 5/29:I have received some questions on this car:1) This car was ordered through the BMW Individual program. This is how the 314 Hellrot paint was specd.2) Other than the door repair disclosed above, this is the original paint on the car.3) Yes, I have the original Owners Manual with CD's in their wrappers.
