1964 Chevrolet El Camino with its original 283 V8 and four speed transmission. The is a running and driving El Camino that shifts smoothly, the clutch works properly, and the brakes are good. The engine starts easily, but is loud and needs a muffler repair. All of the glass is good, the windows roll up and down properly and the hood, tailgate, and doors align well and open and close well. With the muffler repaired, and a new set of tires, the El Camino could be a daily driver. The reserve on my El Camino is very low and well under its value. The El Camino needs to be restored, but it could be driven while being restored. I highly value my 100% positive feedback on Ebay, and with this in mind, I will detail the problems areas and restoration needs: 1. The El Camino is missing the rear bumper. Overall the El Camino is very complete, but it needs the rear bumper and hood chrome piece that goes across the front of the hood. 2. The rear bed panels need new skins. There is old body work that is incomplete and it would be better to just replace the bed side panels. Again, please look closely at the photos. The frame is solid. 3. The floors underneath the seat have rust holes. The front floors and toe board are good, as well as the rear floors where the spare is to be mounted are good, but under the seats need to be repaired. 4. The interior is serviceable, but the original seat covers are tattered. The headliner is good and the door panels are okay, but need work. Please look at the photos. 5. Mechanically, the El Camino is in useable condition. The major concern is the muffler needs to be replaced. The El Camino starts easily, drives straight, and the brakes stop it.
