Vehicle Detail
Here's your chance to own a 1979 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Short bed Pickup.I am the second owner and this has been my daily driver for the past few years.always adult driven and well maintained.it just turned the first hundred thousand mark.It had 97,000 when i got it.It has the 302 2 bbl carb, automatic transmission, single exhaust.it has a new fuel tank, new (not rebuilt) Fred Jones Carb.recent tune up and oil change and also has a new ignition control module, and new valve cover gaskets...it has had a aluminum topper on it since the truck was two weeks old.I removed the topper because I think it looks better without it,the new owner can have that if they desire..there is no rust in the bed and for the most part the paint in the bed still looks great.this truck has never been wrecked or even in an accident.it does have a few cosmetic minor dings here and there, but over all the body is straight and sound and the paint is all original, never painted.was going to do a BOSS 302 tribute paint scheme on it and add headers and duel exhaust and lowering kit if I end up keeping it.but I did not want to modify the originality of it in the event that a new owner is looking for a completely original truck. The Bad.the brakes work as I have driven it the way they are,But I would recommend the brake system to be gone through,I just haven't had the time to do that yet.could use two new tires for the front, the rears are like brand new, front were good so i been driving with those.also needs the window dew wipes.there is one rust hole the size of a quarter on the drivers side lower door, and a small spot by the drivers door handle was pushed in from when it was backed out of previous owners carport.I straightened it out without doing body filler or paint work.all relatively minor issues. Now is the chance to get a great deal on A nice original Ford truck. If truck does not sell soon,I will do all the little extras it needs and put a new 5000 dollar paint job on it,and sell it for much higher than the reserve.I have owned and built many of these 73-79 Fords over the years and the prices are starting to go up on these trucks.all lights work as they should, windshield wipers and washers work.starts every time.no leaks, runs cool. This truck is almost 40 years old and still has lots of good years left in it.but obviously for a truck of this age there are sure to be things that will need to be maintained, as it is not a brand new vehicle. Truck is also for sale locally. Thank you for looking.
