I purchased this car new in April 2005 and it was one of the first B7 Avant's to have been delivered in the United States. I drove it 108,698 trouble free miles including several cross-country trips from New York to California and Florida with no problems. The car was either serviced at the Syracuse, NY, Audi dealer or in later years at a private shop. I will try and obtain the service records from the Audi dealer and post them later. In March 2017 the engine underwent the typical S4 V8 timing change failure suddenly. There was no warning, no internal noise and I drove it right up to my house and the engine sounded perfect. After I shut the car down and came back a half an hour later, the car would not start and many warning lights flashed. I had it towed to the Audi dealer and they diagnosed the problem and the car has been sitting since because of the expense of fixing it. The interior is in near perfect condition but as you can see from the photos the body has some rust problems. Just before the engine failure, the car would drive anywhere silently at high speeds, the transmission and clutch worked perfectly and the car was completely dependable. Tires are excellent and I ordered nearly every option when the car was new. The sticker price was nearly $60,000 in 2005. It has navigation, side airbags and several other options that I can't remember. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a six speed S4 Avant and fix the motor yourself. I think I have described the car to the best of my ability but if you have any other additional questions please ask. There is no reserve on this car and the top bid wins it.
