This fantastic two owner gal began its life in Virginia and lived there until 2008 when made the voyage to Fairfield county CT. Its lifetime of loving care and service are very evident. Having been put through the World Proven (re)assembly line, she meets our rigorous standards and is now truly in a class all by herself. Get the gloves on because its going to be fight for this one! Service Overview: This ‘04 was hand-picked for reconditioning based on its overall condition and unique model and options package. With great attention to detail, she has received just about every critical service needed by a Land Rover from this era in order to ensure maximum enjoyment. Here are some of the service highlights: 1. Recent Headgasket Service including new waterpump and upgraded RPI head bolt set 2. New OEM brake pads front and rear. 4. Full 30K mile scheduled service including new sparkplugs, spark plug wires, air filter, drive belt, fuel system service, transmission service, differential service, transfer case service, drive shaft service. 5. Both rear oxygen sensors fitted with new factory replacements. 6. Brand new Adwest steering gearbox and power steering pump fitted. 7. Newly fitted 265/55/16 tires fitted all around including balance and alignment (appx 85% tread left). 8. New headliner and both sunroofs resealed. 9. Factory all weather floor mats installed. 10. Freshly completed show vehicle detail.11. Newly fitted factory shocks and springs front and rear. 12. Clean VT title and current/fresh registration. This truck fires up instantly and drives fantastic. There is no overheating, stumbles or hesitation. She is pure power and very responsive. Drivetrain performance is crisp and agile with no shudder or clunks. Center diff-lock works effortlessly. Steering is noise free and totally effortless. Beyond that, the previous owner had new shocks and springs fitted all around and the ride is plush and quiet with no clunks or bumps. Braking power is excellent. AC and Heat work excellent. The blower motor is quiet and I would argue that she has one of the most powerful functioning systems for the vintage. Go ahead and park her on a nice driveway, there are NO LEAKS! Aesthetically she is a stunning vehicle. Giverney Green on Alpaca Tan is a really unusual color combination and makes this vehicle a real head turner. To that point its worth discussing that she was a factory SD model. Upon delivery, she received dealer installed factory sunroofs and dealer installed 2-way seat heaters. They work excellent and unlike SE or SE7 models which only have one temperature setting, you have the choice of low or high setting. Additionally, go ahead and push any button – even cruise control – everything works! Overall, the interior is in excellent shape with minor seating surface wear and tear. That said, it’s hard to believe that anyone actually sat in this car by how nice the seats are. The exterior is in equally as nice shape. The paint is still highly reflective and the plastic trim shows well. Both front and rear bumpers are perfect! This is saying a lot if you are familiar with these vehicles – almost all of them exhibit major cracks and fractures but not so here – she is like new in that respect. Giverney Green is an amazing color - it boarders a gunmetal silver and then shifts to a blue/green aqua depending on the light. It tends to stay cleaner longer too, unlike black or white. Walking around her, the body has a normal amount of dings and dents, the most notable on the left hand side rear quarter panel – pencil line scratches from a dangerous expedition to the supermarket. The 16” “S-Type” wheels are also nice and bright with minimal tool-wear and handling contact marks. She is completely rust free on the body as well as underneath. The only signs of surface rust is just that – mainly on original exhaust pieces and nuts and bolts. There is no penetration, peel or holes of any sort on the underside. She has always been a garaged car and it shows. It’s about as close to a California car as you’re going to find from an east-coast gal. She comes with a clean title, 2 working remote handset keys as well as complete owner’s manual. Jack and tools are also present and accounted for! This is a non-smoker vehicle and with all of the recent upholstery work and detail, the incabin environment feels great. There are no funny smells from the AC or Heat either. What I love about this car is how clean it is from its well-loved history. The drive is exceptionally smooth and having had plenty of seat time in it, it’s the kind of truck that makes me happy to get behind the wheel. There’s a life of service that you can feel in how well she drives right now - she’s all there. The 2003/2004 headlights are also a nice bit of Rover heritage. They are a completely modern design, yet the stacked amber round markers are a nod to the design of its grampa – the original Series Land Rover. This vehicle is ideal to suit for many purposes. It can be a great daily driver, 1st car, work and play vehicle, seasonal home or guest vehicle, and even a perfect platform for a nice overland off road build. As listed, she features over $8500 worth of retail servicing and she should make someone a fantastic car. If you would like to change the wheels over, I have a nice set of 18” D2 “hurricane” style alloys available for purchase.
