Vehicle Detail
This classic low volume W109 Benz is being offered for restoration with original 4.5L V8. This is a rare chance to own one of the ultimate comfortable cruisers for an affordable price. It appears to be largely complete and very rust free in comparison to other non-restored examples of this vintage. Coming from long storage in prior owners estate. Is known not to have been driven in the last 3 years. Reason unknown. Will need recommissioning and likely some repair. Or full restoration recommended, but this is a very solid example for that! Body is pretty straight and solid with only small quarter sized surface rust spots on hood and edge front wheel wells. Otherwise very solid underneath for one of these chassis. Antique white paint holds up reasonably well aside from these spots and scratch on passenger door from children's bicycle but should be repainted with restoration. Interior overall in decent shape, could use some re-dying and dash wood refinishing. Also some discoloration on door cards and rear package shelf. Wood around windows will need redoing. Wood strip front mid-door card missing but otherwise all complete. Front seats recovered in incorrect material. Hubcaps are missing. Trim looks presentable aside from couple small dings and is largely complete as seen, aside from missing hood ornament. Some disassembly was begun pending restoration but no notable parts seem to be missing. Air suspension does pump up from external source and hold air for a couple days anyway. Car does roll and turn but is not currently running, so will need to be trailered to your location. Unfortunately title was lost in estate, so this will be sold on Bill of Sale only. This may limit overseas sale until you can obtain title. Key was also misplaced and unavailable. Due to this sensitivity, Actual VIN will be given after deposit. It is similar to listed. To be clear: This is Sold as a Parts Car with No Title or Key. As is, where is. Although if you were to only use it for parts, that would be sacrilege against one of these rare examples. It will be up to the buyer to obtain title and key. If buyer is unable to obtain title and must have prior to shipping overseas, it can be obtained for an additional $500 USD above winning bid to cover legal/administrative fees, but will take an additional 3 months after payment received. Two weeks will be given for buyer to pick up car or arrange shipping. Storage will be charged at the rate of $12 per day after that time. Car is available for inspection by appointment prior to end of auction. Fine print: Your bid is a binding contract, please treat it as such. Reserve will be revealed when you bid up to it. So bid to own it. No warranty is expressed or implied. Car is sold as-is, where-is. You, or your assigns, are welcome to inspect the car by prior appointment before end of auction. Anyone with less than 5 feedback is expected to email for approval prior to bidding or your bid may be removed. $400 USD non-refundable deposit due at close of auction, with balance due by way of cash in person, cashiers check, or bank wire transfer within one week of auction close or before the car leaves the premises, whichever comes first. Bill of sale can be sent with you or shippers if needed. 24 hour notice required before shippers arrive. Near I-5, a major freeway and port of Portland, Oregon for shipping. Once car leaves the premises, you own it. Enjoy
