2006 Honda Civic EX Coupe Automatic If you are looking for a car that is in excellent working mechanical condition, handles well, is economical, and is likely to perform reliably for years to come, then this car fits the bill. If what you care about most is a car that will impress your date when you pull up in it, then...not so much. For sale by original owner, an older woman who didn't drive a great deal and who took good care of it. Selling points:This car always has been and remains fun to drive, mechanically and structurally sound, and reliable. We're selling because we got a new car, not because there is anything wrong with it.The interior is in overall very good condition: immaculately clean, no tears or stains in the fabric, minimal deterioration in surface materials. (see photos and descriptions below)All main mechanical and electrical systems work properly: AC blows cold; stereo and speakers fully function; remote entry and alarm work; power windows and moonroof function; brake, signal and headlights all good. Tires only have about 12,000 miles on them, lots of tread depth (see photos).Front struts and rear shocks were replaced in January 2017.The glass in all windows and moonroof is clear with no cracks.This is the EX model, which was the top trim level, including alloy wheels, power moonroof, and upgraded stereo system.Original manuals and service record history.Clean title, original owner.Current CA smog check, passed. Known issues:Honda vehicles of this era are notorious for their defective exterior paint, which oxidizes and looks terrible, with the clear coat blotching and peeling off in an unsightly manner. This vehicle is no different, with the exception that before we realized the extent of the problem, we had the roof and the two front side panels repainted in 2013, and the hood was repainted as part of the bodywork following a minor fender-bender in 2015 (shows up on the AutoCheck report as 2016, but that's when it was reported to them), so some areas of the car still look nice. In addition to the defective paint, this car has numerous exterior dings, scratches, and scuffs, mainly around the bumpers and the side body panels. However, there are no significant dents. The lower front bumper valance doesn't fit quite right on either side, as the result of bumping into high curbs. It is not at risk of falling off – it's just scuffed, scraped, and doesn't snap flush with the rest of the body panel on either side. And the plastics of the rear bumper have a crack along the edge of the left rear wheel well.There is some minor visible wear on the plastics of the interior door handle and parking brake, and an area of dashboard plastics in front of the speedometer has some discoloration.The rubber material on the steering wheel is deteriorated, and has a leather cover which is starting to deteriorate too. The driver's side sun visor is broken, so it can only be in one of two positions: down in front, or down on the side. It will not stay folded up. This gets annoying, so you will either want to remove it or replace it. This is a design flaw, because the visor has been replaced by Honda two times now, and always fails the same way after a few years of working. All three original keys still work (two remote, one mechanical only), but one of the two with the remote has a dead battery, so there is only one working remote.There is one tiny gravel pockmark on the passenger side of the windshield, but it has been there for years without spawning a crack.
